Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Palette

After waiting on what seemed ages for this to arrive, I finally got my hands on the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick eye palette. I picked up the Pink Opal, which captures 10 shades of gorgeous sandy shores, raw sugar and beach bronze tones that leave a delicate pearlescent shadow on the eyes.

The palette consists of pastel pinks, soft lavender shades, mermaid greens and blues and two toasted brown tones. The eye shadows look just as pigmented and shimmery in person as they do in photos. There’s no denying they are bright and shimmery but when they are transferred onto the skin, most of the shades seemed really similar to each other. They apply a little different to the skin than what they look in the palette.

For just £20 off SecretSales I knew I had picked up a bargain but I was a little stunned by how small the palette was when it arrived! It’s smaller than my hand but looking at this now, my immediate reaction was ‘this will be great for holiday, it will fit in my makeup bag’. We all know eyeshadow palettes can take up most of the bag so this is a cute little compact palette that I think has all the perfect summer shades you need for holiday. I’d definitely say this specific Pink Opal was like a mermaid inspired palette than bronzed. This colours will work great with all my bright, colourful clothes this summer.
