Hey everyone! Today I thought I would share with you all what I wore for Halloween last night! I’ve gone for a Undead Bride for Halloween. Or Zombie Bride or Jilted Bride.. Whatever works haha.
It’s definitely my favourite time of the year as you can probably tell with my themed posts the last couple of weeks. I had no ideas what to go as this year, searching all the costume websites I come across this Undead Bride Zombie Costume on Ebay of all places! I loved the lace of the dress and the two thigh splits.
It was different to most bride costume I’d seen. It came exactly how it looked too which is rare for fancy dress costumes! It came with an old-fashioned veil and choker. I didn’t wear the choker as it was too big for me so wore a Topshop piece instead with semi precious stones. I teamed my outfit with River Island clutch bag and River Island heels.
For my hair I’m wearing a hairpiece! My first time ever wearing one and I absolutely loved it. NUYU Hair Ltd kindly sent me this 20″ full head-piece and I just knew I had to put it to good use on Halloween. It weights about 400g so a LOT of hair! It was a little heavy at first but I soon got used to it as I wear the clip in extensions now and then. I’m quite an awkward colour to colour match but as you can see in the photos it did blend in well. I found the hairpiece to be a one colour whereas I have highlights in my hair so it wasn’t a 100% match but it looked great still.
The hairpiece already comes flicked and wavy so I didn’t need to do anything – so much quicker than styling your own hair that’s for sure. NUYU are a brand new hair company that creates bespoke luxurious hairpiece. This hairpiece retails for £45 and I got shade ‘Viva Las Vegas‘. Their website is launching very soon but I’ve left their Facebook page at the bottom – so check them out!
“If customers can’t find the hairpiece they are looking for they will have the option on our website to customise their hairpiece. They will be able to choose a length and weight that suits them. £5 extra for a different weight other than 20 or 22 inches and £5 or £10 extra depending whether they want a lighter weight or a real deluxe weight of 500g+.
Our hair is also heat resistant up to 180 C, so can be styled with appliances that have a temperature gauge on them.“
I had to get a boutique of flowers in there for a prop! For my make-up I went for a sultry look with smoky eyes and dark silver shading for contour on my cheeks and neck. And of course a dark red lippy. I grabbed MAC‘s Media. Review here. I got so many compliment on my costume and hair. I went to a house party and a nightclub and I think this year everyone has made such an effort, so many funny and unique costumes – I was getting ideas for next year as you do.
Hope you all had a great night celebrating Halloween. Maybe this is an idea for next years costume!
