The newest highlighter to my collection and by heck it’s a good’en. Laura Geller’s Gelato Swirl illuminator in Gilded Honey is as good as it sounds!
This is definitely a ‘the blogger made my buy it’ sort of purchase. I’ve been in awe of this product for so long and after seeing so many glowing reviews, I knew I needed to try it.
I mean just look at it? The Gelato Swirl effect makes it look beautiful and just shows the illumination in the 3d effect. It also helps for an even distribution on your brush so it blends easily and evenly on your face.
I must admit for a high-end highlighter for around £16-20 you’d expect the packaging to be a little nicer, the baked illuminator is fab but I think a clear lid does make it look cheaper than its worth, however it’s not all about the packaging and luckily the actual product sells it anyway!
So how about the pigmentation? Amazing! I loved how smooth and creamy this product is, it’s very shiny but don’t let that put you off. Although it looks like a golden shimmer, you can apply this subtly for a day look. Of course if your like me, the shimmery the better.
If you prefer a more golden tone, then you’ll love this. I found it really similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s Bar of Gold, this is a lot cheaper than that so this could well be my alternative.
As you can see below, it looks quite subtle on I think, in person you can see the glow and its soo pretty. It gives you that instant lift I think and of course it can add as a great eyeshadow too!
Would I repurchase? I think so! If you fancy trying a new highlighter that’s not glittery, sets evenly and looks beautiful on, then try Gilded Honey, you won’t regret it.
