Rose Gold Beauty Picks for Spring

As we’re saying goodbye to Winter, here’s how I’m prepping my skin and transitioning my makeup with a rose glow!

So it feels like forever since I last did a beauty post. As you may have noticed here I’ve leaned more towards travel and lifestyle! But, beauty blogging will always play a bit part on this website. So today I’m taking it back to my roots with an update on my skin and what products I’m using for a rose glow makeup-look perfect for Spring and onwards!

When I started gathering the products I wanted to include in this post it was very clear there was a theme emerging. Not only did the products suit a pink theme, but I also noticed the amount of rose gold! I guess I do tend to lean towards this type of makeup this time of year. Plus as it’s been so long since I last did a dedicated review, I also thought it would be great to mention the new products I’ve bought and are currently loving! So let’s start with my skin…

Skincare update

The past year or so my skincare selection has dramatically increased thanks to Pixi Beauty! The team has sent me bundles of products from cleansers to face oils and exfoliating scrubs. If you’d like a full blog post on what I use currently – let me know in the comments! Last year I did a post on their new Rose infused skincare range and its fair to say I’m obsessed. Here’s a photo below of what they sent me. You’ll also see a photo further down this post on how my skin currently looks and I’m so happy with the difference in my skin. I rarely ever get spots now!

So in the post I’m featuring their Rose Cream Cleanser and it just melts away my makeup. I’ll wipe away excess with my makeup remover but for a deep cleanse this is my go-to.

I’ve also used the Rose Flash Balm to the point that I’ve now run out! This works perfectly as a primer for an instant glow-up on a morning. It’s very smooth and soaks in straight away ready for your foundation. It’s also really nice on holiday when you don’t want to wear much through the day but just want that instant pick- me-up, without looking oily.

If you’ve followed my blog for quite a while you’ll know that their Glow Tonic is a favourite of mine so now my OG is used up – I’ve just started to use the Rose version!

In this post, I’ve also included their Makeup Fixing Mist. This feels like skincare to me rather than a makeup piece. I spray this as a setting spray but it just feels like an instant refreshing mist. Considering my UD All Nighter was my forever favourite this is slowly becoming to replace it! Never thought that day would happen!

Rose Gold Eye Makeup

I’m all for glitter any year round! But when it gets to this time of year when the suns appearing more, it just gets me excited to wear pinks and nudes. One way I’m doing this recently is with the Huda Nude eyeshadow palette. I got this just over a year ago and I can honestly say I reach for this 90% of the time. Its an all year palette but even more so in Spring/Summer. AS you can see in the swatches below it is super pigmented in just one swipe. Each shade I use glides onto my eyes so easily.

Again in my eyes, you can’t beat Urban Decay for palettes but since I purchased this I’ve never looked back. Considering I’ve had this over a year I’m nowhere near hitting the pan which is good against the price tag! If you are looking for a new palette I’d certainly recommend this if you love your nudes or prefer not to go too daring.

Another eyeshadow I like pairing with this is the Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights in the shade Mirage. This is the first swatch in the picture above and just shows how lovely it pairs with others in this palette. But even so, if you just want a pick eye look, dabble this on your lids and you’ve got an instant glitter eye. I’ve also found a new favourite mascara! I’ve been using Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara the past few months and I’m now onto my second tube. For someone who doesn’t wear lashes this really does gives the appearance I am wearing them. I love this mascara but I wish it didn’t crumble after a few hours!

Rose Gold Beauty Highlighters

Finally a little Charlotte Tilbury love… I bought another bottle of the Flawless Filter in shade 3 after loving it this time last year (review here). Same sort of reasons to earlier for that instant pick-me-up. You can wear this as a primer or for areas you want to highlight alongside your foundation. I do love this on holiday for an alternative to BB cream! When I was in Manchester recently I finally picked up one of her Glowgasm Beauty Wands. I went for the Peachgasm shade which as you can see in the swatch it adds just a very subtle pinky glow. You can use this as a blusher which I have been or as a highlight too. I’m glad I picked this up!

Here’s the finished rose gold beauty look using the products above! I’m wearing the lipstick shade secret salma from CT. Are you looking forward to opting for nudes and rose gold makeup picks?

  2. That Huda Nude eyeshadow palette is absolutely gorgeous, how foiled are those shades in your swatches! I used to be obsessed with the Too Faced mascara, I need to repurchase it! xx
