On Thursday, I was exclusively invited to The Bridges Fashion Week launch accompanied by the lovely Lucy and Laura. Find out how I got on with my first frow experience!
So me and Lucy got the train down to Sunderland and decided to make the full day out of it, which of course means shopping! We had a look round and got a few bits from Lush (of course) and even managed to fit a cake break before the show! Then Laura met up with us just before 6, in time for the bubbly and goodie bags.
The Bridges Sunderland are hosting a Fashion Weekend for four days so you still have today and tomorrow if you get chance to pop down. The day is filled with live shows and even prizes and competitions for the best dressed! Make sure you check out their Facebook and Twitter account as I had no idea about this till I only won it!
I won £250 gift card to spend in all their shops for the ‘Win the Look‘ – well that’s my holiday clothes sorted. Oh and my makeup and hair done, I think I may use this for my birthday… 21st soon!
You can also win front row seats and goodie bags.
Anyway! They even had free henna’s and I just had to get one as you can see above, it’s so pretty. I’ve never had one but I couldn’t refuse the opportunity.
After picking our seats from the reserved, we sat down with a glass of bubbly each and waited for the show to start, which is hosted all weekend by Kelly Scott the Capital FM presenter.
The catwalk was a collection from the likes of Primark, Van Mildert, Topshop, Select and Debenhams. It was so nice to see a few pieces on that I had previously noticed – the three of us loved the rose gold bomber from Topshop!
“The Fashion Weekend gives us a brilliant opportunity to showcase what the Bridges has to offer for shoppers of all ages, sizes, and budgets – and of course, to help them update their wardrobes with the season’s top trends.”
The Bridges Fashion Weekend is a chance to showcase the season’s top trends so all the clothes featured are the newest spring / summer styles all available in the shop. We had a look after the event and it was hard to resist it all!
Other retails involved in the shows are New Look, Miss Selfridge, Next, Boots. Tkmaxx and even Swarovski.
The daytime shows will run at various times throughout the next two days. And I have to say their dancing was great too – the models were fantastic.
Thank you The Bridges Sunderland for inviting us, the goodie bags were superb too especially the gift card and Lush! I loved catching up with my two blogging babes Lucy & Laura. Make sure you check them out.
The Bridges fashion Weekend ends Sunday 24th April!
