Valentine’s Date with Intu Metro Centre

valentines date with intu metro centre

Its been exactly one year since our first date and what better way to celebrate than with a Valentine’s date courtesy of Intu Metro Centre!

For years the Intu Metro Centre has been my go-to destination for a good shopping day, there’s literally everything you need under one roof. From fashion, to world cuisine and bowling, there’s something for everyone.

So the lovely team at the Intu Metro Centre got in touch and asked if me and my boyfriend would like to do a day date! Of course we said yes. We had the full day planned out with activities and first up was a meal at TGI Fridays.

Food at TGI Friday’s

We had a yummy three course meal with a couple of drinks. Just look at that Cookie Dough Sundae! Its one of my favourite restaurants to go to so it was a great treat for us both! Of course the food coma kicked in so we burnt it off (kinda) with a couple of games of bowling at Namco.

Bowling and Amusements

I didn’t do very well (shock). Bob won both games! While we were in there we played on the amusements too. We did some Mario Kart and I got my luck back and won, then we did some Zombie gun games.

Just outside the Namco amusements the Intu Metro Centre have a padlock of love wall. Ever seen those padlocks on bridges where people put their names on? Well the Intu Metro Centre have that on this week to celebrate Valentines Day. Such a cute idea! We love doing things like that.

Now onto the most important part, shopping!

We spent so much over Christmas we were a little unsure what to buy at first. You’ve got the likes of Thornton’s and Millie’s Cookies for a yummy valentines gift. But we decided to look in Lush Cosmetics. As my readers know I love their bath range. I picked up two of their Valentine’s bath bombs, the Love Boat and Aubergine. Both smell delicious! I can’t wait to use one on Valentine’s night too.

I then treat Bob to a Jack Wills hoodie which is perfect in this weather. Plus the colour is also fitting for Valentine’s!

Bob’s taking me out for a meal Valentine’s day so I decided to pick up a new lipstick for the occassion. In House of Fraser they had some Mac Cosmetic lipsticks on offer and I picked up this gorgeous red shade.

You can’t go wrong with some nighwear for Valentine’s right? We headed over to the HUGE Primark and got some cute love heart Pj’s and socks and a gorgeous red body suit. How pretty? They were such a bargain for under £30.

And before you know it the Intu Metro Centre was closing! We had such a great day out, huge thank you to the team for organising our day. It just so happened to be exactly a year since our first date on the 10th February so it was a lovely way to celebrate our anniversary too.

What plans do you have this Valentines Day? Check out my previous gift guide posts for some inspiration.
