January has seen me buy LOTS of new items, mainly because you’know there on sale. Today I thought I’d share a couple of recent beauty items I picked up that are already set to be favourites in 2016!
So what better way to cheer yourself up when your feeling stressed? Shopping! I haven’t blogged in what feels like a while, mainly due to me being super busy at University. Yep the dreaded stress of dissertation writing has started, so you will have to bare with me for a little while.
ANYHOW!
While I was rummaging through my local TKMaxx, I came across Ciate London cosmetics. I immediately found their Oliva Palermo collection and though omg, why is it so cheap? Yep I am having it for £5.99! There was so many lipstick shades to choose from but I ended up going for ‘Truffle‘. It’s such a wearable shade and reminds me of my trusted Velvet Teddy. This little beauty is now in my everyday bag.
I also found the Cheekbone cheat duo! This retails for around £25 and I got it for just £7.99! The swatch isn’t the best but both the blusher and bronzer are really wearable. I prefer the blusher more than the bronzer as its slightly too light of a shade to do the contour (kinda works more of a foundation powder). I’ve seen so many bloggers pick these up too, it’s so good when you find a bargain that we all invested in.
Thebalm! Seriously, why have I not had the Mary-Lou Manizer before now? So many bloggers have raved it and I just haven’t got round to buying it till now. What was I thinking? It’s such a gorgeous illuminator! It’s a very light peachy sheen that adds the subtlest glow ever. Again, the swatch doesn’t do it the justice it deserves. I love this highlighter so much that I’m doing a separate review of it soon.
And finally a new year means a new foundation. I bet my readers are thinking, another one? I get bored easily and just fancied trying a new one. I mean I love Urban Decay anyway so my expectations were really high. So far, I’m loving how great Naked Skin makes my skin look. It’s so weightless but has extremely good coverage which I find rare with a light formula foundation.
I got shade 05 and its the perfect match. I’d only had it on a week and I received two compliments on how good my make-up looked so, so far I’m really impressed.

I really need to try more UD products, I’ve heard really good things about their Naked concealer so that’s already on my list but didn’t know there was a foundation! I saw the Ciate in TKMaxx but I wasn’t sure if I would use it, regretting it now x
