My first brand I truly fell in love with. MAC Cosmetics. Enough said! Heres my ever-growing collection of their makeup that I’ve been dying to show you all for ages.
Oh MAC. How you have been the kickstart to a wonderful collection of makeup hoarding.
My first ever item was in fact the Studio Fix Fluid foundation that I still use even today. It’s a foundation that never lets me down, like most girls they can never stick to one – I do wear other brands but I will always return to Mac.
For their powders, they really are just amazing. Great long wear and I just love their bronzers. Don’t you think the packaging of these are lovely? They all come in a sturdy case so when your like me and drop things all the time, they are definitely intact from shattering into a million powder pieces. I always get the bronzers that are an edition to them, I have both Osbourne bronzers, a blusher from the Toledo collection and their summer 2015 edition.
The summer edition is my fave – love the different colours and the ombre look. If you haven’t tried MAC’s soft and gentle bronzer, you need to add it to your list. Its well up their in the blogosphere and I can tell you, its worth it to be there too.
Such perfect pigment! Although my favourite eyeshadow brand isn’t Mac, they still are beautiful. I love all their glittery shadows like I’ve collected here. My favourite is the little pot on the left which is dazzleshadow. Its been in a few favourite posts of mine for being so pretty on the eyes. No pun intended.
Even their mascaras are worth talking about. Extreme Dimension 3D Black lash is my favourite out of the three I own. It immediately lifts and lengthens my lashes. Some high end mascara dry so quickly but I’ve got Mac mascara from a year ago and they are still like new. Again – their products are worth not only the hype but the money too.
I can’t not talk about their lipsticks. From what started out as 1 last year, I’ve built a little collection here wouldn’t you say. Their an all-rounder of a product. They look perfect, the packaging is nice and the texture of them are lovely. The best thing about them is their durability. They are so long-lasting and I just think they are worth every penny.
Just look at the shades.
I’m in awe in just looking at them. So here’s what we have Top to bottom:
- Media Satin (dark red with purple tones)
- Full Fuchsia Amplified (A True Fuchsia)
- Russian Red Matte (A True Red)
- Real Redhead Lustre (A soft Nude Pink)
- Catharina (Shiny Bright Pink)
- Flamingo Lustre (A Peach Pink)
- Girl About Town Amplified (Bright Fuchsia with Blue Tones)
- Blossom Culture Sheer Supreme (Salmon Pink)
- Velvet Teddy Matte (The perfect Nude)
So whats my favourite shade? Day wear I have to say Velvet teddy, it just works with anything especially this time of year. Night wear, it has to be the iconic red lip: Russian Red.
I’m hoping I’ll be treating myself to a lot more Mac this year to add to the collection. One part I love about the brand is all the amazing limited editions they bring out, I’m hoping to see lots of gorgeous new releases this year.
