MAC Velvet Teddy

MAC Velvet Teddy
After doing a poll of what you’d like to see next on here, you all jumped at the chance for me to review my fave MAC lipstick: Velvet Teddy.

Not only is it one of the cutest names for a lipstick, it has the reputation to be one of the most well-known too. If you ever see a girl with a nude lip you always think is she wearing Velvet Teddy.

Now way back in October I finally purchased this beauty in Edinburgh. Initially I was a little unsure of whether it suited me at first but the matte finish and creamy formulation, I couldn’t stop wearing it. It’s certainly become my go-to lip product for every day.

I always thought of matte lipstick to be drying and the type to make my lips crack but not with this at all, well any of Macs matte lipsticks for that matter. They all have pretty good staying power and this seems to last all day especially at university with numerous snacks – bonus.

It’s described as a ‘deep beige’ so on the lips it’s definitely a brown-nude.  I also think it has a pink undertone with this and I’ve been using this lipstick with a pale pink liner and it works perfectly. If you’re wanting the liner for this, Soar is your best bet.

  1. Oh my gosh! I L O V E this lipstick! I always go to reds and need some lighter colours! I think I will be doing another MAC order…

  2. I’ve been wanting to try out Velvet Teddy for so long but I always think it looks too brown for me as I’m quite pale and have blonde hair, you pull it off so well though! Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and get it haha Xx

I would love to know your thoughts!
