So October went by in a flash didn’t it? Well this month I enjoyed using lots of products for Halloween but these have definitely been my favourite this month!
When its comes to October, for me its toffee apple season and the time I can start doing lots of Halloween posts! I’ve been really busy in life so I only managed to do two, a Cracked Doll and a Zombie look.
This time of the year, I start to create more smoky eye looks rather than bright colours and rose golds. So to create my simple smoky eyes, I can’t stop reaching the Urban Decay Smoky palette. It’s got the perfect array of browns, navy’s and even glitters – it’s definitely the best palette I own.
As you can see I’ve hit the pan on the gold shade, it’s so beautiful and really compliments the brown glitter next to it and the matte shades. If your pretty new to the smoky eye craze then this is the palette to start off with. I was never really good at doing these looks till I bought this a year ago.
I’ve been wearing a lot more tan now summers over with. As most gals know, when it comes to removing tan it can be a huge pain! I’ve tried lots of exfoliators to try take it off as gently as possible. When I was in my local Superdrug a few weeks ago, I was topping up on tan and I noted this St Moriz Primer next to it. To be honest the glitter gold definitely drew me in.
This primer aims to prep the skin before you tan but it also helps remove it too. I’ve tried this a few times now when I’ve worn tan and up to now it’s worked really well. It feels like sugar granules so it’s quite soft on the skin, it’s not as rough as other exfoliators. If your after a new exfoliation or like me need something, I’d definitely give this a go!
As you all probably know by now, I’m Lush obsessed! When the Halloween collection got released I literally finished work and bought it all the same day. I did a haul of it on my blog but I thought I’d mention how fabulous the collection is and it’s definitely all in my October favourites.
I have tried every product practically from Lush’s Halloween collection and I loved it all, I would have featured more products in the photos but I’d already used most of them. I’d definitely recommend the Autumn Leaf, Monsters’ Ball and the Sparkly Pumpkin. They all smell amazing and I loved how they felt on my skin. I need to pick some more up before they’ve gone!
I’ve always been intrigued by the oval brushes, their all over instagram and they seem to make applying makeup so much easier. I picked up the Makeup Revolution Contouring Precision makeup brush set in Superdrug a few weeks ago. For £20 you get three brushes which I think is a really good buy. I use the large brush to apply foundation and the two other brushes for highlight and bronzer. I actually couldn’t believe how soft they were! For such a reasonable amount I’d definitely recommend these, it took a bit of getting used to but honestly the brush is so good at applying foundation than a sponge. I love them!
Finally how could I not include a lipstick in my favourites? I’ve been trying to use a few of the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks I got sent and this shade is perfect for nights out. The metallized red shade glistens on the lips and the formula is so soft and nourishing. The shade is ‘Sancho‘ I’d describe it as a medium red with purple tones and hidden glitter. It’s definitely a lipstick to wear over the festive season, and its very long-lasting too!
So that’s my October favourites! Another great month for me and I hope November is just as good too, I’m off to an Urban Decay Blogger Event tonight so that’s something to look forward to. I’ll be putting it on my blog soon so keep a look out on my social media what I get up to!
Are any of these your favourite?
