A sweet new collection just in time for summer! Lancome treated me to their new Matte Shakers and they are better than I imagined!
I’ve been lusting over these for a while now after trying their juicy shakers last year. So when these arrived on my doorstep I wondered if they matched up to other liquid lipsticks!
If you’re not sure about the Juicy Shakers, check out my post here! They’re the ultimate lip gloss in a cute cocktail shaker package. Keeping your lips super hydrated without the stickiness feel. Some of the shades were more pigmented than others, but that depended if you wanted colour or more of a lip balm.
But, the Lancome Matte Shakers have the same hydration as the Juicy shakers but with a matte finish.
Described as a secondskin finish, the shakers are super comfortable to wear. I can totally see why, the shakers dry really quickly without leaving the lips feeling dry or flaky.
With an oily formula I wasn’t expecting them to be so bright but I was totally wrong. I love the texture of these two, and the sponge application allows for them to apply easy and effectively. But to be honest when applied you don’t really see a matte finish, it comes out more glossy but I prefer that in a liquid lipstick!
The shades ‘Pink Power‘ and ‘Kiss Me Cherie‘ are both perfect for summer. As you can see Pink Power is a delicate rose pink with a fuchsia tone and Kiss Me Cherie is a deep red with an orange tone. As shown above (Top Pink, Bottom Red), applied on they are quite similar shades compared to the swatch!
Speaking of summer, where are you? If you want a liquid lipstick that doesn’t feel dry, keeps you moisturised and lasts long – I’d recommend these.
Overall I’d describe Lancome’s Matte Shakers as a lip stain but by far the best for a soft texture feel and long-lasting application. I tested out Pink Power with a meal and drinks and it lasted, probably not as long as other matte lipsticks but that’s because their more drying than these. It all depends how you like the texture but for me these are an essential for your summer holidays..
What do you think? Would you try one?
