I love the concept of Beauty box’s but never committed to a subscription…Yet! So when Roccabox* got in touch, I just had to see their April edition and what goodies you can receive.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought beauty boxes as one offs when I’ve seen the products and though wow I need that. But for me, monthly boxes are a risk when some months may be good and some not so.
So when this arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the contents! I mean the packaging is gorgeous, it was all wrapped lovely and the products were great too. For £10 a month, you get to test and trial lots of makeup, skincare and haircare products. What I love about this box is that each month, the treats are hand-picked by different influencers – the added touch.
In April’s Edition you get 5 full size products for £55. Not bad considering! I must admit, I was expecting more of an Easter twist on this box for this month but the nail polish and lip lacquer shout Spring to me!
So let’s talk about the contents!
John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum (£6.99) A product I’m probably not really going to use but it looks appealing. I have so many haircare products like this that I forget to use them, my hair doesn’t really get frizzy and sometimes less product is better.
Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer (£23) I love the packaging for this! It’s a stunning colour and its great to apply on its own or on top of lipsticks. Its more creamy than sticky for a lip lacquer which is good!
Nails Inc. Gel Polish (£14) one of 5 colours in this months box and I got Porchester Square. It’s a mushroom colour with a lilac tone, at first glance I wasn’t sure on the colour but after trying it on, I quite like it! The other shades include a red, purple, pink and fuchsia.
Kure Bazaar Pedicure Ritual (£4.50) now I wasn’t sure about this at first. It’s basically a spa treatment in a bag. I love the concept of foot nourishing socks actually and like Roccabox recommends, this is perfect to get your tootsies spring ready.
Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy (£8.00) This smells amazing! Riched with seaweed extract, it smells like summer in a bottle. It has a lovely buttery texture and i love the colour of the packaging too!
Overall I think this is a great little beauty box. For £13.95 (with delivery) it’s a good way to indulge yourself, think of it like a present each month, I guess a surprise when you don’t know what you’re getting! Thank you Roccabox for letting me try April’s Edition!
