Mac Cosmetics Snowball Collection

The highly anticipated Christmas collection from Mac Cosmetics is here and let me tell you Snow ball is as breath-taking as it looks…

So probably like a lot of people, as soon as it hit midnight on 26 October I stumbled onto the Mac website and within a few clicks I got everything I wanted! I had my eye on a lipstick, the highlighter and eyeshadow and luckily everything was there – you can imagine how tempting it was to go a little crazy!

I’ve always been a fan of Mac Cosmetic’s cult collections such as Cinderella and last year’s Mariah Carey’s collection. As you all know I’m a sucker for pretty packaging so when the news of the Snow Ball collection got released I obviously swooned at the gold frosted packaging.

Mac holiday collections are always a sell out, and that’s why I just had to get my hands on it while I could. This year the Snow Ball collection features kits and sets; perfect Christmas presents and also a makeup collection for people like me, to treat themselves!

The festive collection screams sparkle and glitter! And so it should for Christmas time, What more does a girl want with a snowflake highlighter and a shimmer lipstick?

Extra Dimension ‘Stylishly Merry Eyeshadow (£16)

Let the party girl shine this Christmas! This delicate shadow has tones of rose gold with iridescent shimmer. I love how in some lights this is a golden pink and in others it’s a bright golden yellow. I absolutely love the formula, its super creamy and easy to blend. I prefer using my finger for this as the pigmentation is just incredible! You could easily get away with a light dusting on the cheeks and collar-bone too if you’re wanting that disco ball effect.

‘Shimmer and Spice’ Frost Lipstick (£16.50)

Have you ever seen such a pretty lipstick shade? The frosted lipstick is filled with gold sparkle with a warm plum tone. This lipstick is limited edition for the festive collection and its such a unique shade, I just had to try it. The frosted formula means its more sheer than matte or cream. Beautiful alone, I’ve been using this lipstick as a top coat with Velvet Teddy and the finish shouts sparkle. You can see the sheen it creates in the images / swatch.

Mac Snowball Face Bag (£35)

A GLOW UP gift set! The snowflake-embossed Extra Dimension Skinfinish in ‘Whisper of Gilt’ adds a delicate glaze to the cheekbones and gleams in all the right places. It’s possibly the world’s prettiest gold highlight! Oh and you could also use this as an eyeshadow too! This set is such great value for £35, the rose gold brush will add the perfect application and of course who doesn’t love a sequin clutch?

As you can see each product creates a subtle but elegant glow to the face and the swatches just don’t show it justice. I’m so happy with what I picked up and I can’t wait to wear them over the festive season – perfect for all those Christmas nights out!
