Halloween is over so that now means Christmas is just round the corner! Lets recap on October and what products I’ve loved trying…
So October has been a busy month! The best part was definitely my trip to London for the Makeup Revolution Halloween party (read here) and I also trying lots of new products.
First off I have a gorgeous new body scrub to the skincare collection. The Joan Collins I Am Woman Body Polish (here) is literally heaven. If you want a spa treatment at home and want your skin leaving silky soft and smelling amazing – you need this tub in your life. The gentle Himalayan salts with Kiwi seeds exfoliate the skin and the olive and avocado oils give your skin that hydration it needs this time of year. To be honest the fragrance of this sold it for me alone!
Laura Geller Balance + Brighten Baked Foundation is a must for the colder months. I’ve been using this powder as a setting base for my foundations. It’s mixed with colour corrector and bronzer so gives a really nice overall complexion to my face. It’s not enough coverage on its own but some days I need that extra coverage – this is perfect for making your makeup last all day.
A totally new concept I’ve recently been trying is the Veil Cover Cream. I got invited to an event in September about this makeup brand and their foundation aims to cover and camouflage all skin concerns from birth marks to acne. They give me a sample kit to try which features lots of different shades for concealer and colour correction. I wasn’t sure of it as a full coverage foundation (you all know I prefer medium/dewy texture) but as a concealer I loved this for hiding my dark circles and any breakouts I’ve had. I wanted to feature this as its one of them underrated brands which I’m sure lots of people would benefit from. Head over to their website here for more details!
Another underrated product but a most loved of mine has to be Mac’s Media Lipstick. I’ve used this a lot in October mainly because its such a stunning deep purple shade – perfect for Halloween and the winter months. I wore this for the halloween party and with it being a creamy matte, it doesn’t budge all night. It’s also named after my degree so bonus!
I’ve been opting for the warm tones again this month so Naked 2 has been my go-to for eyelooks. As you can see I love the golden shade Half Baked and Snakebite. I’ve only had this a month or so now but I can totally see why everyone raves about it, you can create so much from this but it’s definitely an Autumnal palette for me.
Finally I tried my first ever item from Marc Jacobs this month too. I was lucky to receive this in an Influenster Voxbox and I’m super impressed. After just trying Troublemaker (here) I kind of thought I’d tried it all but the Velvet Nior Mascara is perfect for volume, length and separation. I couldn’t believe the results with one stroke – if you want me to do an in depth post on this let me know in the comments.
So what does November bring? Well I’ll be starting to feature lots of Christmas posts such as Restaurant reviews and gift guides so watch this space. I can’t believe how quick October went by, do you have any plans for this month?
This post contains PR samples. Opinions are my own, see disclaimer here.
I still can’t believe how fast Halloween went this year! Although I’m not complaining as Christmas is now well an truly appearing in all the shops!
The Laura Geller foundation sounds fab. I can’t wait to read all your Christmas themed posts!

I also love the Laura Geller powder Foundation as a setting powder. The Marc Jacobs mascara sounds lovely! I think I may have a sample from Sephora, I should look!

Glad you agree 🙂 Oh I hope you did have one I love it
I love those two shades from Naked 2 as well – but Naked will forever be my go-to, especially for autumn!
Beautiful aren’t they! I’m yet to try the original Naked!
Loving your picks thanks for sharing
