Okay how fast did February go compared to January? This month has flew by, but of course that means I’ve enjoyed another selection of goodies I’ve picked up and a couple of PR samples.
Yes we’re in the third month already. March – this means hopefully warmer weather, don’t get me started on all this snow but also the start of spring. This means new life, new releases and new styles. Oh yeah and its Easter at the end of this month too. Sounds exciting already.
Anyway, you may have noticed I recently received the new Benefit BADgal BANG mascara. I keep seeing mixed reviews on this but if you want my take on this groundbreaking mascara, read here. Personally I like it, it’s not my ultimate favourite but I like using it for work with it being long-lasting and adds a natural look to my lashes. Speaking of natural, who wouldn’t love a product that gives you amazing brows in seconds? Yep I LOVE L’oreal’s Micro Tattoo Brow pen. This felt tip pen acts as a tint to the brows and with the easy precision of the three bristles it creates a natural hair look. I picked up brunette 105 and its the perfect shade. If you want something quick on a morning, I would 100% recommend this.
I’m all about that glow all year round, and the Revolution Illuminating Fixing Spray is something else. I picked this up on the off-chance of spending so much to get a freebie – we’ve all done it. But its gorgeous, it adds a subtle sparkle to your makeup and it actually does a pretty good job at keeping your makeup put as well. So good for £5! The Laura Geller Diamond Dust Illuminator on the other hand is the perfect highlighter in this snow weather. It creates a stunning pinky/ blue iridescent. I prefer wearing this at work too as its more subtle than golden highlighters I own.
Of course this cold weather and snow is going to have its toll on our skins. One product I’m currently loving is the Botanics Facial Oil. I’ve been using this most mornings for a healthier complexion before I apply makeup. My skin can get soo dry in this weather but so far, it’s as plump as ever with this stuff! And finally I love a good self tan but aren’t they a nightmare to remove? Well my fave tan is Bondi Sands and to be honest, this isn’t as stubborn to remove like other brands but I love their new Self Tan Remover. You simply add the foam all over, leave for 5 mins then wash off. I received a bunch of goodies from Bondi Sands so expect a full blog post on the brand soon!
That’s my February Favourites! This month has been soo much better than January for a number of reasons so I’m excited to see what March brings. What are your plans? Have you tried any of these products?
