It’s crazy how quick this year has gone! Even more crazy that i’m doing a November Favourites already!
So the last month I’ve been particularly loving my skincare routine. You could say lately I’ve stepped my game up and been using the Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean scrub daily and a few times a week the Angels on bare skin mask. This tea tree scrub I’ve been using nearly everyday after I’ve got out the bath or before I’ve put makeup on. It’s so minty and leaves my skin feeling so soft and fresh before I apply any makeup. I got this for just £6.50. Now the Angel on bare skin mask is just heaven in a tub really. Pardon’ the pun but it’s true – this face and body cleanser I think personally is great for the face, you simply apply a bit of water to the cleanser and it becomes a thick paste. It acts as a scrub but sets to your face like a mask – infused with lavender it soothes and relaxes even when it’s been washed off! This was £6.75.
Since I bought the Clinique Superbalanced Makeup 05 Vanilla I’ve been using it pretty much everyday! I’ve complimented this foundation lots a few weeks ago on my blog and it’s definitely a daily foundation that I’ve been using while at university. You don’t need too much of it either, I glide it on my face with a makeup sponge and it sets my entire face for the day.
After my foundation I’ve been loving the W7 The Honey Queen blusher. For £2.99 it even comes with a little brush to apply. It’s a gorgeous blusher and I am shocked by how good it is for the price. You could say it is a dupe for the benefit blushers with the similar design – it’s that good I bought another yesterday. And another powder I’ve been loving the last month is the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘centre of attention’. This is a beautiful powder. The pink shimmer I glide across my face especially around my cheekbones. And the gold centre I place on my eyelids and under the brow. Then a little dusting on the cheeks. After foundation I always use this to matte the face and it jut adds a gorgeous shimmer for when I go out, I got this for £17.
For contouring I decided to splurge and get the Naked Flushed! The woman at the till told me this is the one Kim K uses so I thought well, this must be good? Being honest, I use the highlighter and blush more than the bronzer as I find the bronzer a little light for me. I’ve used the highlighter on my cheeks, corner eyes, below the brow and forehead for a hint of shine. I think this palette is perfect for getting the contouring look and I think especially the highlighter even hides those pesky pimples you can’t seem to hide! The blush I use a tiny little dab on the cheek and spread with the Real techniques cheek brush. The palette is just £22.
For the eyes my love for Yves Saint Laurent is truly endless. I can honestly say I can never go back after trying their mascaras – the quality is superb and they always make my lashes long and thick and non clumpy. I normally go for the ‘shocking’ mascara but I picked up the original mascara Volume effet Faux Cils a couple of weeks ago and this one is exactly like the shocking one I have. The exact same brush, the results are always perfect so I’ve loved using it this month. I paid £20 for it with a free eye makeup remover.
For eyeliner the list is endless what I have tried but over a month ago I got the Soap and Glory Supercat black eyeliner pen from Cohorted for just £6. This felt tip liner has been used a lot the last month, I work it with the Real Techniques Eyeliner brush from the Nic’s Picks collection. I simply glide the liner on the brush a few times, then on each corner of the eye I use the brush on the angled side and brush down – I get two even flicks. I carry the liner along the water line and above the lashes to finish off my eyes. There both so easy to use. The other brush I’ve been loving from Nic’s Picks is the cheek brush. This glides my powders on especially the MAC one on so well. I got the Real Technique’s Collection for £20.
Well that’s my november favourites! Are any of these products in your makeup routine?
