I can’t say no to a bargain, so when the Tarte Maneater Collection was on offer on QVC I just had to snatch it up!
My first Tarte purchases, can you believe it?! A few month ago on here I was chatting about the beauty brands I’m yet to try – kind of like a wishlist post (click here) and to no surprise Tarte was one of the brands I’ve been wanting to try for ages.
Again I’ve always lusted over their products but never had a clue what to try first? The fact they’re an American brand too meant it’s quite difficult to find in the UK… Until QVC came along! So if you haven’t heard of QVC its an online shop that pretty much sells everything. They also have a shopping channel and the products are always on great deals. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this amazing deal of 7 full size Tarte products for just £43. I know bargain right? This set right here is worth around £150 so I knew it was a great investment.
I feel like every blogger picked up the Maneater Collection – so I guess I know I got a great buy. I wasn’t sure whether to post this with everyone sharing but as my readers love bargains just like me, I just had to tell you about it.
It’s a perfect set to try a foundation, lipstick, mascara, eyeliner and an eyeshadow palette of theirs. I haven’t seen any other high-end beauty brand offer a set like that at such a good price?
So first things first, how stunning is the packaging? With black and gold cheetah print and a purple makeup bag, it’s the ultimate travel kit to be honest. The Maneater collection is Tarte’s Must have products and I can totally see why…
Their makeup brushes are super soft and each product I’m totally impressed with. Like honestly I’ve never tried a brand for the first time and loved every product straight away, you know when you just feel why didn’t I try it sooner?
Here’s the low down…
Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation (50ml) – I picked up ‘Medium Honey’ and its the perfect shade. Its matte but it’s not dry in the slightest. I wear it for work most days and let me tell you it’s very long-wearing! It’s perfect for the summer too with SPF15.
Buffer Foundation Brush – this limited edition brush is super soft and blends the foundation so easily without the brush marks – creating a flawless complexion.
Maneater Eyeshadow Palette – another limited edition beauty. If you love nudes and brown tones you’ll love this palette. It features shades to create liner, lid and crease eyeshadows and even comes with a highlighter! the set also comes with an eyeshadow brush which as a flat dense end for full coverage shades and a tapered brush to define your brow bones and contours.
Maneater Eyeliner – This is super pigmented! It’s not waterproof but sure feels like it the stay powder is amazing.
Maneater Voluptuous Mascara – now this mascara is my fave product out of the set. I’ve literally used it nearly every day since opening. It creates intense volume while also curling my lashes. The ultimate fake lashes effect!
Lip Sculptor lipstick – this rose pink lipstick also comes with a lipgloss. Paired together they create a lovely nude lip. The lipsticks super creamy which is the kind of lipsticks I like!
So how does it look on? Well I’m wearing the foundation, mascara and the lipstick here. I would say this kit is for more day-time looks but I love how dewy and natural it sets. like I say the mascara is amazing and to say the foundation is full coverage, I really like it!
The Tarte Maneater Collection (click here) has gone back up to £60 now but I still think that’s an amazing deal! The foundations worth £35 just on its own.
Did you manage to pick this up? Are you tempted?
