It’s time to blossom those lips and tuck away those vamp shades. it’s spring so any pink lip you can find, wear it!! Excuse the pun’ but I’m a sucker for a gorgeous pink shaded lipstick. Whether it’s baby pink, fuchsia or cherry, lipstick/lipglosses really shape an outfit.
If your after a shimmery lipstick I’d recommend the Dior Addict Lipcolor ‘Pink Empress’ this was actually featured in my march favourites (click here). This is a really creamy lipstick that has a smooth finish, the sunlight catches this shade effortlessly with the speckles of golden shimmer!
For a nude pink I always reach for the L’Oreal Color Riche ‘julianne’s Nude’. If you haven’t heard of this collection, it’s nudes and reds that are meant to compliment certain skin tones. Julianne’s a really fair skin tone so, works really well for that natural day wear look with a matte finish.
Onto the first Mac lipstick we have the MAC Amplified ‘Girl About Town’. Possibly my favourite mac lipstick to date, this stunning fuchsia pink is the ideal lipstick to spice up any colourful outfit. The photo’s don’t quite do the justice in how beautiful this colour is. It has lilac tones aswell as red to really summer’up your makeup.
MAC Lustre ‘Flamingo’ is a cute coral pink that looks matte but feels too creamy for me, It’s not shiny so it’s the perfect lipstick if you’re wanting something in between. Again, it’s one of them nude pinks that has more of an orange tone that makes it more dressy then a day wear lipstick!
And finally, you could say very similar to Flamingo, it’s the MAC Sheer Supreme ‘Blossom Culture’. this definitely has more of a pink tone than flamingo and on the other hand is a lot more shiny and glossy. I’d say this was a salmon pink that would work both day and night makeup for me.
What do you think of my choices? Any of these you’ll be wearing this year?
