I love finding new websites to indulge on my beauty addiction, so you can imagine how excited I was to team up with Chemist*. A haul of products handpicked by myself!
I’ll be it, I’m always on the hunt for bargains. Anyone who knows me, knows I can spot a good bargain so you can imagine how impressed I was when I got all these products for £50!
Chemist.co.uk is all in the name. It’s an online chemsit that stocks your daily health and beauty essentials. It has a great range of skincare and makeup and I was quite shocked by the variety and the prices. There’s some recognisable brands on here too such as Eylure, Victoria Secret and Max Factor.
So lets see what I picked up!
For a fresh and inviting scent, I picked up Victoria Secret’s Secret Charm fragrance mist (£8). This is perfect for a quick spritz and its literally like summer in a bottle, perfect to carry in your bag! Keeping with the summer theme, I also picked up Sunkissed’ Bronze Architect Palette (£3.50). This features a contour, bronze, blush and highlight with a step by step guide. I think the contour shade is too dark for me but the highlight and blush is quite wearable. Sunkissed reminds me of the younger days when I was first experimenting with makeup! And to add, you can’t go wrong with a bit of bronzing lotion. St Moriz Glitz Body Souffle (£4.50) enhances your tan with A gorgeoys body glow, I’ve used this before so I just had to pick up another bottle. You can wear it on your own as an instant glow or on top of exisitng tan for a shimering finish.
Another product I’m excited to try is the L.A Girl Pro.Conceal-ers (£4). I’ve heard nothing but good things from these and for the price I decided to go for a light shade in classic ivory and a darker shade to contour in fawn. I loved the variety of Eylure products Chemist stocked so I decided to pick up a Brow pencil (£4.50) and the Brow Control and Shape Gel (£5.99). I’m hoping the gel sets really well with powders and dipbrow, I’m sure it’ll be amazing.
So lets get on to skincare! As you can imagine, they had LOTS to choose from. I decided to go for facial products that could be used for a pamper night and a pick-me-up. One product I’m excited to use is the Dr PawPaw Multi-purpose Balm (£7). Now this is raved about in the blogging community. It’s a soothing balm that can be used for the lips and cheeks. I’ve tried it a couple of times as lip balm and its so creamy – I love the peach tint to it. So pamper night; I picked up a Mudd Deep Cleansing Mask (£3.60) and the T-Zone Nose Strips (£2.50). I did pick the charcoal version of these but they sent me the original strips. Needless to say, these aim to clear blackheads and impurities. The mudd mask – I’m hoping will dry so you can see all your pores, I love them type of masks. This also helps control acne and absorbs excess oils. Finally to finish this facial I’ll use the Nivea Double Effect Makeup Remover (£2). I’ve used this before and its great at removing the toughest of waterproof mascaras!
I’m really pleased with the products I picked up, Chemist UK let me loose on their website and it really is full of hidden bargains. I’ve enjoyed discovering new brands at amazing prices.
