Brand Focus: YSL Beauty

Brand Focus: YSLIt’s been a while since I’ve talked about my favourite High End brand Yves Saint Laurent. I’m a sucker for gold luxurious packaging and YSL are up there with the best packaging I think. So today I thought I would do a brand focus on a few of products I just love using from their collection.

Brand Focus: YSL

So I guess I best start with my favourite product from YSL. My readers will know my favourite go-to foundation has to be their Le Teint Touche Eclat. Its got the perfect mix of foundation with a subtle hint of highlighter. With medium coverage, it leaves a gorgeous dewy finish that doesn’t feel heavy but you still feel covered. Since buying my first bottle in june, I’m almost onto my third… Opps.

My first ever YSL purchase was actually the Touche Eclat. Its been a product for me where some days I’ll wear it then I’ll kind of forget about it. However since using this foundation, it sets so nice as a little glow under my eyes. People still get a little confused what it actually does but just imagine it as a product to highlight your features on your face. But personally it works well for hiding spots too. Win win.

Brand Focus: YSLYSL offer a wide range of shades in different packaging. So for me it takes even longer to pick a shade and what packaging. Below the two I mostly use is Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick ’55’ and Rouge Volupté Shine ’05’.

The  Pur Couture Lipstick was my first ever lipstick from YSL. Its got the perfect mix of shine but with a matte finish so it’s so long-lasting. For £25 its one of my most expensive lipsticks but for quality its worth the price tag. Similar with Volupté Shine, this perfectly packaged lippy adds moisture and shine to lips. It smells amazing too. I love the packaging on this especially with the shade band. Oh how I want more of these!

I can’t forget their lip stains either. I’ve got three of these now and they are the perfect mix of gloss and lipstick. It looks like a gloss but sets and stains your lips – a unique formula. Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres needs to be in your makeup bag. I have shades 106 (pink) and 30 (purple). Sometimes I use these over a lipstick for added shine or they are perfect on their own.

And finally their mascara’s. Every mascara I have had from YSL has showed off amazing false lash effect results. My fave? It has to be their Shocking Mascara. The only downfall for their mascara’s is they dry up pretty quick compared to others but they are improving the formula’s all the time.

I need to get me more YSL… Definitely want to repurchase the Touche Éclat! I used to use it before the By Terry equivalent… Then I found out that it was actually created by Terry de Gunzburg herself, when she was with YSL… Long story short, I do need to try more YSL! 😉xx, Annie | Annie’s Beauty

I saved up for a YSL lip gloss and it was SO worth it. I use it all the time and it’s such fabulous quality. Think I will have to add the Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick ’55 to my wishlist seeing as you love it so much x
