L’Oreal Cushion Foundation

L'Oreal Cushion Foundation

I’ve caved in and bought into the Cushion Crave that’s sweeping over our faces! This sponge drenched foundation by L’Oreal is the perfect dewy finish you need to try!

I asked everyone on twitter what they’d like to see on here and of course you all jumped for a review of this revolutionary new form of foundation.

So as you all know, I’m a medium coverage kinda gal and I love a foundation that looks fresh and dewy. My go-to foundation for this finish is usually Urban Decay Naked Skin or YSL Touche Eclat but when this got released, I just had to see the results.

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation features a travel compact mirror, applicator and a sponge filled with foundation. So all you have to do is dab your applicator onto the sponge and tap onto your skin. I haven’t used the sponge that came with it but I feel my beauty blender works the best with this. It’s so easy to use and my skin certainly looks dewy and flawless with this foundation.

I think this is a perfect summer foundation for people, like me who like a lighter coverage but the sponge allows the foundation to build to a medium coverage. Win Win.

I’ve tried this a few times now and although it probably wouldn’t replace my go-to foundation choices, it’s definitely been a good alternative and its something I’d use as day makeup look. For the price its definitely worth trying out!

I used this foundation in my recent post with a contour kit – it works perfect with cream and powder contour too.

Have you tried this new item from L’Oreal?

  1. I’ve been intrigued by this since seeing it, so it’s good to know that it works well 🙂 I’d be intrigued to see whether it lasts for the same time as a bottle foundation.

  2. I really want to try this one! I’ve tried one cushion foundation before (Physicians Formula) and I wasn’t really convinced, but the finish of the L’Oreal looks much nicer.

I would love to know your thoughts!
