Underrated Beauty Products

Underrated Beauty Products

Sometimes we need to give a little credit to thoseย beauty products that are like hidden treasure and today I’ve decided to share some products that just don’t get talked about: Underrated products that are worth investing in.

I mean I’m sure a lot of people have these but I just think these don’t get talked enough in blog posts or in beauty recommendations. So in this post I’ve included my favourite primer, brow products and bronzers.

I guess their my go-to and products I’d definitely rebuy. With base I’ll start off with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. This is such a skin saviour. It’s no surprise how many awards its got, it’s basically an anti-blemish cream and does wonders for acne prone skin. Whenever I have a breakout I use this and within 24hrs you can really notice the difference. Even with my first use I was amazed by the results, not many skincare products have that power.

Then for primer my all time fave has to be Benefit’s Porefessional. It’s a dream to apply, it’s so creamy and blendable. With the dewiest of foundations and the mattest – it sets them all amazingly. I think this is quite known generally but I’m not sure if it is people’s favourites? I never see it around that much lately.. Another Benefit product I absolutely LOVE is the Watts Up highlighter. Again this is another product I don’t see people raving about. If you love a creamy highlighter then this is for you! It’s got a gorgeous pearl finish and gives your skin such a lovely dewy radiant finish. It works really well with powder too especially Mary-Lou.

Now onto brow products. I’ve raved about Freedom’s dipbrow so much on here. It’s definitely an underrated product this one, It’s definitely 100% a dupe of Anastasia Beverly Hills. I use a brow brush to apply this and it’s so easy, you only need a tiny bit of product to cover one eyebrow. It just defines the brow so nice and sets really quick too. L’Oreal Brow Artist Kit also features a gel but I love the powder in this palette. It pairs so nice with the dipbrow or looks good on its own for a natural look. This is the only product that matches perfect with my brows and their both so reasonably price.

Now lastly, bronzing products! These are two bronzers / contour kits I just love using and their both from the drugstore. Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo is a contour kit in itself. People describe it as a makeup chocolate bar. This such a good kit for highlighting and they both compliment your makeup so well, another product that doesn’t get enough praise I don’t think. However my favourite shimmering bronze has to be Seventeen’s Glow Bronzing Rocks. I’ve used these since I first starting wearing makeup. Once you’ve finished your makeup I apply a little sweep of this over my cheeks and it just gives a stunning golden glow. It’s perfect to wear with tan for your neck and chest to. No matter how pasty I am, I can always count on this is give me that glow all year round!

So there you have it, these are in my opinion some underrated products you should have in your makeup collection if you don’t already. Do you have these? Do you think they are amazing products people should be raving about?

I’d love to know your trust worthy products..

  1. I LOVE Effaclar Duo and Professional, but Watts Up is just one product I try to use so so often and can’t get on with, not sure why but I just don’t see the lovely effect well on my skin and I can’t tell how to apply it to get that ‘highlight’ effect on my cheekbones!!

    1. Aww no way that’s a shame, I think it blends in really well with my foundation. I use my beauty sponge to set it along with powder on top. Glad you like Effaclar duo and Porefessional though ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I swear by my Effaclar duo which is amazing on the skin. The bourjois bronzer is so lovely to use and easy to travel with due to its packaging. I need to try and use my Wattsup highlighter more as its been a neglected products for me.

    Great post and blog~
    Have a lovely day โ™ฅ

  3. I have never tried Watts Up but I agree the Bourjois Bronzer doesn’t get the credit it deserves! Fab post a lovely idea! xx

  4. I’ve never heard of half of these products before. I’ve used MAC for years and have been rather insular…it would be a perfect time to start branching out a can’t really hurt.

I would love to know your thoughts!
