After getting a graduate job and my birthday coming up this week, I decided to indulge in some new high-end beauty products!
The perfect reason right? I’m going to be a communications officer for the mental health charity Mind! I’m so excited to start so as a little treat I picked a few bits up from Debenhams and Space NK.
If you’ve been following me on social media, I also finally picked up a Kylie Cosmetics Lip kit and I was going to feature it on this post but decided to do a separate review on it. So make sure to look out for that one!
This post is dominated by lip products, I’ve been buying lots of liquid lipsticks lately especially with NYX. I own a few lip stains by YSL and after hearing so many good reviews on Mac, I just had to pick up one of their retro shades.
I picked up MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in the shade Mango Mango. These liquid mattes have such a nice suede finish and after sampling it a couple of times, it doesn’t seem as drying as other matte lipsticks such as NYX. I think this will be perfect for my holiday as a daytime lipstick with the very light coral and pinky tones.
After using and loving Charlotte Tilbury’s Big Fat Lashes I am hooked to her brand. So when she released Legendary Lashes I just had to try it. I’m yet to use this mascara only because I’ve got LVL lashes so I can’t see the full effect. This is meant to give so much more volume than BFL with a enhancing elastic formula, it sounded to good to not try out right?
So in the Debenhams sale I managed to pick up my fourth YSL Lip Stain for half price in the shade Fuchsia Dore 14. I absolutely love YSL and when there’s a half price sale on most of their lip products, you just have to really! The lip stains are one of the first lip gloss – lipstick products and this gives a beautiful shine. If your after liquid lipstick that isn’t matte, I’d 100% recommend picking of these up, the shades such a pretty sparkly fuchsia.
After falling in love with Sexy Sienna, I decided to pick up another Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Lost Cherry. I was so close to buying this in my first CT Haul but now it’s finally in my possession. This shade is a beautiful pastel red with fuchsia tones that I think fits perfect lip colour for day-to-night wear. I’m so excited to wear this on my birthday.
I bought my first Nars products last year so I thought it was about time I picked up something new. I love their Super Orgasm blush so I decided the Nars Illuminator in Orgasm would be the perfect option. This basically acts as a liquid illuminating blush so it does have the sheen to act like a highlighter as well. A couple of drops of this creates a flawless option to your makeup and I’m so glad I picked it up.
And finally I’m sure you all know by now about Benefit‘s new Brow collection? Well I had to see what the fuss was about and picked up their Goof Proof Brow pencil. I got this in the Elle magazine and although shade 6 is slightly too dark, I could definitely see the potential in this pencil. I don’t know if I will buy anything from this collection but if you have any recommendations please let me know!
How beautiful do all those shades look swatched? I feel like this is one of my favourite hauls to date with the variety of brands I didn’t even own this time last year and well who doesn’t love lots of lip products? If you’d like me to review any of these in particular then just let me know. I’m still trying most of these out but looking forward to using them over the next few months!
Have you tried any of these? Whats your favourite?
