Is it just me or has September gone by in a flash?! The month when the cold sets and for me it’s my favourite time of the year.
Don’t get me wrong I love summer, but I think September is when we can all get excited about our wardrobe transition into jumpers, the berry lips come out and all the new beauty gets released.
So this month I actually bought an Advent calendar, I know it’s early but I just had to pre-order it. Anyway enough about Christmas, these are the products I’ve got round to trying and loved using this month.
Cocoa Brown Kind Haircare
Yeah you’ve read it right, Cocoa Brown have actually launched two limited edition hair products! If you love their tanning range like me, you’ll love these two. I got the Kind Shampoo* and Kind Conditioner* sent a while back and the scent is gorgeous. It’s the same as all their tanning range and I have to admit when my hair was dry, it still had a fresh smell. Even when straightening, the Tahitian fragrance was noticeable. It’s made my hair feel more smooth especially in these cold mornings. Its only one of a few hair products I’ve tried where the fragrance lasts a lot longer after washing! win win!
Urban Decay Perversion
This is another product where I’ve loved it, neglected it but then kind of thought why did I stop using it? My lashes are slowly growing back after a lot of them getting ripped out off semi permanent lashes (don’t ask) so I needed a mascara that well made them not look balled. Luckily they look okay now but this mascara along with my Legendary Lashes (here) built my lashes and provided me with the volume I desperately needed. It’s been a lifesaver and now that I’ve got lashes to work with, it can see why I bought it in the first place again. If you want that falsies effect I recommend you try this.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise
This is my second eyeshadow pot and hands down it’s the best cream eyeshadow I’ve tried! As you can see its soo soo pigmented and just one little swipe can cover the full eyelid. This is the shade ‘Bette’ and in person its a stunning gold with a foil effect I think. The good thing about this eyeshadow is it looks great on its own for a quick eye look that lasts all day or you can pair with your favourite shadows.
The Balm Betty-Lou Manizer
So you all know y now how much I love Mary-Lou. I felt it was about time I tried the bronzer version aka Mary’s duo Betty. This powder was such a great investment to my makeup stash. Not only does it look amazing, it gives such a lovely bronze sheen to my face and paired with Mary-Lou it’s just amazing. I picked it up this month and it works as a bronzer for contouring or even just in general. If you like a bronzer with a golden sheen this is perfect, I wish I bought this for my holidays but least I can enjoy using it for the next few months!
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion
Last month, Lancome sent me their Cushion Foundation* along with their Blush Subtil* (here). So I wanted to try this foundation properly before mentioning and I’ve been wearing this to work most mornings. I love a medium dewy coverage and this is perfect, they picked out the right shade for me too. For the colder mornings I’ve been wearing this along with a thick moisturiser and its managed to keep my skin from drying. I may do a review on this separately but it gives me just the right coverage and doesn’t budge all day.
Left – Right; Lancome, The Balm, Charlotte Tilbury
September has been another great month for me filled with work, parties and my first proper wage. You’ll be seeing a lot more reviews soon of all the stuff I picked up on pay-day. I’m looking forward to October only for one thing; Halloween. Keep checking back as I’ll be featuring some makeup tutorials soon…
Have you tried any of these?
