There’s been a lot of new beauty releases lately so I thought it was a good time to splurge on some new brands and limited edition sets.
First up I have to start with Kylie Cosmetic‘s Valentines Collection. I know its been and gone but heck you wait a while for these to come all the way from America. In one of my recent posts I mentioned being lucky enough to pick up an item and of course I got the shade Valentine.
It’s a stunning pop pink with fuchsia tones, I just love her matte lipsticks. I only have one other so I felt this was the right opportunity to get a new one. I can see this being a favourite in the summer time due to how bright it is.
Another brand new collection that has hit the shelves is the Too Faced X Kat Von D Better Together gift set. This features a cheek and lip combo from two iconic beauty brands. I’ve never tried anything from Kat Von D and I’ve been dying too for ages so this was a good opportunity to test out her lip products people rave about.
This comes with a mini lipstick in ‘muse’ and an everlasting liquid lipstick in ‘XO’. And then from Too Faced we’ve got a candlelight highlighting powder in ‘rosy glow’ and a blush in ‘so happy together’. I was so excited for this to be released in Debenhams, they’ve brought out three different gift sets but this seemed the best with the cute makeup bag. the contrast of these two brands are brilliant and I just think its such a good collaboration. So far I’ve used the matte lipstick and its a stunning red wine red that does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s practically waterproof.
Another newish release is Urban Decay‘s Optical Illusion complexion primer. I noticed they’ve revamped a few of their products such as the all nighter spray and their new primers caught my eye. In four different versions I decided to go for this one as it aims to reduce the appearance of pores and give an even complexion. The texture is creamy and blends in so perfectly. It’s very similar to Benefit’s Porefessional but has a more pink tone. So far, I’ve worn this with a mixture of foundations and I can’t find a bad thing to say about it, doing well UD!
Finally while I was on Debenhams I decided to have a look on their sale and noticed the YSL Touche Eclat was on offer for £18. I couldn’t refuse this offer and see and though my old one was running out, I thought I may as well. This is from their Christmas collection with the sparkle texture. I’ve written about this illuminating pen lots on my blog, its one of them multi-purpose products you just love. It’s a highlighter and concealer for me and does wonders for making my dark circles disappear.
So there you have it, my latest new in beauty with the swatches above. We’re at the end of February and there’s just so many exciting releases happening lately. What have you got your eyes on? Did you manage to get anything from Kylie’s collection?
