Infallible Total Cover Kit

I’ve trialled L’Oreal’s most talked about foundation at the moment: Infallible Total Cover. A full coverage base that I picked up for £15, lets see how I got on…

img_3338img_3342So what is Infallible? Well basically in dictionary terms it means incapable of going wrong. So I guess with this foundation it means you’ll always create a flawless look with this foundation. And you can always count on it too?

Last week when I visited Superdrug I noticed these gift sets as I walked in, you got 4 full size items for £15 (you can buy here). That’s practically half price! I don’t normally buy drugstore foundations but I couldn’t resist this offer, especially with the primer and fixing spray. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this so far but I just thought I’d give it a go and let you know what I thought!

For starters I don’t normally wear full coverage foundations, I prefer medium with a dewy finish so already I had reservations. After swatching this in store I noticed how smoothed it applied and it set pretty quick too. It is quite matte but I wouldn’t say drying in the slightest. I went for Golden Beige which I know does look slightly dark on my hand but once blended and oxidised it does go lighter and its more suited for when I wear tan too. It feels so much more creamy paired with the primer too. I love these type of primers the gel like texture soaked in so quick and instantly blurs my pores. I can see this being usable with all my foundations and it reminds me of Smashbox’s primer actually.

Anyway back to the foundation, I wore this all day and it did last with powders ect. I haven’t tried the fixing spray yet, I’m going to keep this for the summer but I will let you know my thoughts on that when I get around to using it. Same as the sponge, it looks really good with the flat side and the tip for precise application. I think this is a brilliant kit for £15, I mean it really is your full base in 4 items!

I don’t know if you’ve seen, but L’Oreal’s advert on this shows how it can cover tattoos, redness, acne and oily skin so to me, if a foundation can do all that, it really is Infallible isn’t it?

Infallible Total Cover Kitimg_3291So here’s the foundation in my finished look. As you can see it does set pretty well with my powders and leaves a smooth finish. If you’re wondering my eyeshadow is Naked 3 and lip colour is Posie K. I’m looking forward to wearing this foundation more, I think I’m going to use this more for work due to the durability of it. The gift set is currently in Superdrug here.

Have you tried Infallible? Would you?

  1. I just tried this for the first time today, I found my pores were still obvious and I still needed a touch up after lunch! I thought it was good compared to some other matte foundations I’ve tried though xxx

  2. I’ve not tried an Infallible foundation yet from L’Oreal, mainly because they literally have so many types I’m overwhelmed with choice, but this looks absolutely gorgeous on you, so natural yet still high coverage! The gift set idea is great as well from Superdrug because then you just have the entire range to play around with and the products tend to usually work and combine well together! xx

  3. I keep seeing this advertised and I’m really tempted to try it but fear it may feel too heavy? I’m dying to try that setting spray though so maybe it’s worth buying the set as it looks like such a bargain! Xx

I would love to know your thoughts!
