Benefit Boi-ing Concealers

Benefit Boi-ing Concealers

Concealers are a must for achieving the ultimate base, so when Benefit sent me their newly packaged Boi-ing collection, you can imagine how excited I was try them!

Benefit sure know how to surprise you, thanks ladies! So we have four different concealers here with four different purposes! We have a brightening concealer, a full coverage, lightweight and sheer finish.

You may have noticed they seem similar to their existing concealers, well Benefit is infamous for their exceptional packaging so of course they have given their products a makeover – no pun intended.

So the Brightening Concealer used to be Erase Paste, the Hydrating Concealer used to be Fake Up and the Industrial strength concealer is the original Boi-ing!

This then introduces their new concealer to the collection, Boi-ing Airbrush – a sheer soft focus concealer that aims to blur dark circles!

I’ve only tried the Fake Up from their old collection and I used to swear by this for hiding those pesky spots. Considering it was only a light coverage, it hid them really well so I was intrigued to see how the other concealers matched up.

I can also say those mini complexion sponges are a must on applying concealers like these, great idea for Benefit to feature! With most of the concealers being packaged in a lip balm kind of tin, I tended to apply with my finger then used the sponge to dab and set.

So which concealer did I try first?

Well, I’ve always suffered with dark circles but even more so lately with lack of sleep and coming back from holiday so I felt like the Boi-ing Brightening Concealer was a good starting point. This concealer aims to brighten those tired, dull eyes – adding a pop of melon undertones. It was strange applying it at first, as it isn’t the typical yellow colour like you would normally see, it applies like a typical concealer but you can instantly see the results. This is full coverage and has an extremely creamy texture.

Next we have the Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer. Again this also hides dark circles but I’ve been using it as a touch up over spots and blemishes. Unlike the others, this features hydrating ingredients like apple seed extract so it’s not matte but still stays put.

The newest kid to the block is Boi-ing Airbrush. This aims to blur and smooth the skin to erase fine lines and unevenness. Benefit claim this concealer as a ‘real-life retouch‘ that creates a flawless finish without looking like you’ve used concealer. The bonus of this is it’s a sheer but medium finish and its waterproof!

Finally the mother of the group and original, Boi-ing Industrual Strength. As expected, this is a stay put full coverage concealer that covers everything. I must admit I was impressed by this the most, it has a lot to live up to with the name but you can guarantee this will hide everything.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealers

I got shade 2 in all of the concealers and I’m fair-medium skin so these were the perfect shade for me. They apply slightly lighter than in the tub so that’s something to bare in mind when buying. If I had to pick just one, I think I’d say I like the Hydrating Concealer the most as I prefer dewy products and this apply less matte than the others. If I need full coverage, it would have to be Industrial Strength of course.

Thanks Benefit for sending me the new Boi-ing concealers collection, I’ve enjoyed testing them out!

  8. I definitely think I would like the hydrating concealer the most, as someone with dry skin there is nothing worse than drier concealer under the eyes! I have to say I absolutely love the packaging but I did give one of these a swatch in store and you’re so right, you need to make sure you buy a tad darker of a shade otherwise you can be washed out! xx
