If you are after some festive makeup inspiration or fancy treating someone (yourself) to some makeup for Boxing Day or NYE, read on…

Christmas is well and truly round the corner. Glitter, sequins and shades of red will be already on a lot of people’s minds for those upcoming parties. ‘Tis the season to sparkle after all.
For me, Christmas is the excuse to wear as much glitter as possible on the eyes and I have 4 items perfect for those gold smoky eye looks. The original Naked Palette features an array of gold shimmering shades as well as soft pink colours for the inner eye. You’ve then got a mixture of neutral shades so this palette can create a look for the office party or girly night out. A single eyeshadow I had to include is the Dazzleshadow in Boom Boom Room. The iridescent shimmer on this is amazing!
My top tip I’m always racing about on here is the Heavy Metals liner in the shade Midnight Cowboy. Add this on-top of your gold eyeshadow and it will really make your eyes pop with sparkle. Because its gel you don’t have to worry about fall-out, and its long-lasting. If you want to mix it up, you can also go for a cream shadow: Eyes to Mesmerise. The shade Jean is a champagne gold which looks good over the full eye lid for a quick but effective look or add in the middle with your chosen shadows.
Speaking of sparkle, this season has to include a beautiful highlighter or two. I had a hard decision to pick just one for this post but see and though its Christmas makeup, I think the Extra Dimension Skinfinish needs to be on your wishlist. The golden highlight is perfect to compliment your glitter and your sequin and bright outfits! To match this, I’ve picked Betty-Lou Manizer a shimmery bronzer. This with a highlighter really does pair lovely. For a primer I would 100% recommend the La Base Hyra Glow. It’s a lightweight creamy primer that hydrates your skin as well as leaves a pearly glow to your complexion.

So 5 lipsticks may seem a lot but I thought I’d go for a variety depending what shades people like and what works best with your outfits! If you love the sparkle, Glitter Lips in the shade Forbidden really is perfect for a girly night out. With easy application, smudge-proof and waterproof – you wont have to top up all night. I’ve tried this and it looks so pretty on. For something a little more subtle Big Bang is always a good choice with a fuchsia tone. For the perfect red I recommend Rouge Des Arts followed by Prestige if you prefer a metallic liquid lip. Another liquid lip in Spice is gorgeous if you love a dark berry shade.
For lashes I will be wearing Velvet Nior throughout the festive season, I’ve never known a mascara like it for volume and thickness, if you haven’t tried it you need to. And finally if you aren’t wearing acrylics, the Gel Fantasy nails are insanely beautiful.
Do you have your eyes on any of these or use them already?

Never thought about adding glitter eyeliner over the top of my shadows, I’ll definitely be giving this a go this festive season. I can’t get enough of glitter lately!

Yeah its a way of making sure it stays put all night! Me too 🙂 x
I love glitter so WHY don’t I own any glitter eyeshadows or eyeliners yet!? That Naked palette is the only one I don’t own. There’s part of me that want to buy it to complete my collection and the other part of me don’t like the shades in it x
