You can never stop trying new skincare right? I’ve recently become a member of Dermalogica‘s Skinfluencer programme and thought this would be a great way to introduce you all to the brand and my first thoughts on their extensive range.
I’ve always been intrigued by Dermalogica and the way they create their products. It’s one of them brands that really concentrate on skin concerns and their collection just looks insane.
Last year I was lucky enough to chat to the girls at a stall in the Professional Beauty event and they analysed my skin type and any skin problems I had. I went away with some samples to try one and one of them was the Daily Microfoliant. I was really glad they sent this over as I loved using it, especially when I’ve never tried something like this before. The powder when added with water or cleanser turns into a thick paste and acts as an exfoliator. It’s very gentle and leaves my skin feeling instantly smooth and fresh.
So when joining the Skinfluencer programme I was asked a couple of questions, like I did at the stall about my skin so these products were hand-picked for me. Which shows how they really care about how you are treating your skin and giving you what will work best.
I say it a lot on here about how much I love a good cleanser and I can honestly say the Precleanse oil has never left my bathroom since the package arrived. I love the smell of it and it’s great at melting my makeup away. Even waterproof mascara. After this they recommended the Special Cleansing Gel which is perfect for all skin conditions. It doesn’t contain soap so this removes dirt and oil gently and effectively. It also feels really soothing with the mint and lavender ingredients.
Who doesn’t love a moisturiser? I’ve loved trying the Skin Smoothing Cream which asks as a medium weight moisturiser that’s great for combination or dry skin. It contains Aloe and cucumber to hydrate, which is needed in this ever-changing weather lately. I’m definitely going to take this on holiday as an alternative to primer.
Speaking of primer, I’m yet to try the Skinperfect Primer. I’m currently still using the Protocol primer (which is fab) but this is next on the list to test out. It’s aimed at older women who would like to smooth away fine lines but for any age it builds a flawless and brightening base ready for makeup. I’m so excited to try this, it includes ingredients to even out skin texture and balance the skin. I’ll definitely be trialling this to see how long my makeup lasts – give me that luminosity effect.
It’s such a treat to test out this skincare brand! Thank you Dermalogica. Have you tried this brand? You can view their range here.
