February Favourites

february favourites

Another month done and dusted already, the shortest month of the year has seen me splurge on a lot of beauty related products especially towards the end of the month, so for a couple of these, they are still pretty new!

february favouritesWith it being pre-spring, I’ve noticed I’ve been edging more towards pinky blushes lately.

The Blushing hearts baked blush by Makeup Revolution in ‘Peachy Keen Heart’ (as seen in Jan’ Faves) is a gorgeous luminous shine on your cheeks! It’s triple baked blush gives a flushed look to the face, whether you use the bronze on its own or glide all 3 across your cheeks, it’s a gorgeous finish. It was also in my January Favourites I love it that much!

The Creme Puff Blush in ‘Lavish Mauve’ by Max Factor is a fairly new product that I’ve been using everyday since purchasing it last week. This gorgeous baked blush is part of a collection so after using just one, its tempted me into buying a couple of others.. if not all! It’s really pigmented and possibly could be one of my favourite drugstore blushes!

IMG_8494Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs it’s THE perfume I’ve been wearing this month. I won this gorgeous delicate bottle last month in a giveaway and since I’ve been using it practically every day over my other perfumes. It’s so floral and fresh and it just seems such a long-lasting perfume. The cute little bottle is perfect to keep in your bag to occasionally spray bursts of the heavenly fragrance!

IMG_8495After hearing all the good work Lush do with the charity Pot, I started using my lotion a lot more this month. It’s silky smooth formula has worked great on my hands in this cold weather, It feels great wearing it knowing your helping a specific charity or organisation around the world!

The Skin Perfection Magic touch Instant blur by L’Oreal Paris is a gorgeous nude creamy primer. My instant thoughts were Benefit’s Porefessional, its such a similar formula and applies so easy and smoothly. It leaves your skin so soft before foundation is applied. The colour is nude so it can be applied instead of a foundation I thought. This is definitely going to be a product I will rebuy – It’ll be great for summer!

IMG_8497I’ve never used a makeup setting product before so I was really intrigued to use the Makeup Revolution Makeup Fixing spray. I tended to use this more on weekends than week days. simply apply your makeup as normal then spray this a couple of times away from your face and it soaks in. I notice my makeup did stay in place more, it says it lasts up to 12 hours and I recommend it would as well!

IMG_8498And finally two mascara’s I’ve loved using this month is the new Benefit Roller Lash that I received free in the January ELLE magazine and the False Lash Effect Mascara by Max Factor that I also got free in a gift pack.

The Roller Lash for me, tended to be a base mascara rather than the full package. Yes it did make my lashes longer and fuller and even separate them, but for me it didn’t have the volume that I expected. So even though I like this product its one of them mascaras’s where you need to use another one to get the volume you need…

Therefore the Max Factor’s false lash effect mascara did just that. It added lots of volume after just one coat and applied really easily, the only downfall is the brush is quite big to it was an effort to not get mascara on your skin around your lashes!

  1. Lovely picks! I’d like to swatch and test on me the Maybelline blusher: I’ve just purchased two products from them and I’ve been liking both a lot.
