As I’m officially now on holiday, I’m treating you all to a Guest Post week at Polished Couture! While I’m away I’ve got 7 amazing bloggers posting for me. Today I’ve got the lovely blogger babe Kirsty from HaveTheTown! She’s rounded up her summer essentials and if you enjoy reading this, please check her website out!
Hi everyone! I’m delighted to be doing a guest post for Bethany today! I’ve been a fan of her blog for ages, so it’s lovely (and a bit scary!) to be doing this!
Since we’ve just hit the first day of August and summer is in its full swing (in theory) I thought I’d let everyone in on some of my personal summer essentials!
Having a summer glow
It’s always great to have a bit of a glow in the summer and to help things along I always love to use a really shimmery bronzer. Recently I picked up this one from Beauty UK which is brilliant, the colours come out looking really pretty and golden and it’s a bit of a bargain at £3.99.
A bit of an obvious one but you gotta have some shades for summer! I love big oversized sunglasses the best! I always buy them fairly cheap because I can’t be trusted not to lose or break them and my absolute favourite pair are ones I got for £3 from Thailand. Accessorize has similar ones here. I also love these ones from Topshop here.
Festival or not, as far as I’m concerned it’s not summer unless you sport a flowery headband at least once. My favourite is this one (click here) that I got from H&M:
It sounds like a no brainer, but it’s so easy to forget to stay hydrated when the weather is warmer. I’m not the biggest fan of plain water, but recently I’ve started chopping up fruit, putting it in a flask and then popping it in the fridge for a few hours. It tastes lovely and it’s really healthy too!
I live in Northern Ireland so not having one of these, even during the alleged warmer months, would be blind optimism! On the plus side I have a really pretty blue one with lots of little hearts on it, (which my boyfriend bought me in June – he know the score!) every cloud and all!
