This has been my 2015. It’s been a mixture of emotions this year but an amazing one! Heres a reflective post on what I got up to in the year.
After completing my second year of university, I won an award of all my work towards my blog (here). As most of you know now I started Polished Couture as an assignment and all the achievements on how well I’ve done on here, getting firsts in assignments, I was awarded with PR of the year at the Teesside University Journalism awards.
I had the most fantastic holiday with all these! I’ve been to Ibiza twice but this year we went to Sunny Beach, Bulgaria – not a place I’d of ever thought of going but all these made it. It was the most hilarious time of my life, I didn’t want it to end. Roll on 2016 for hopefully a lot more great times with all my friends.
I went to my first blogger event this year. Which has now turned to about 10 now! I’ve met some lovely North East bloggers that I would now class as my friends. This event above is when I won a £300 beauty hamper (here). I hope I go to a lot more events next year, one of the best parts of blogging.
I’ve also had the privilege of now working with Psyche Fashion. After just visiting their event as a blogger, they asked me to work for them as a brand blogger. Since then I’ve made friends with lots of their staff and wore a lot of beautiful clothes – this is one of my favourite dresses. I hope to work a lot more with them next year and thank you for picking me!
I also now work with Topshop now too. Of all places I met the wonderful Anna on jury service! We exchanged numbers and I now meet up with her to talk about al the latest Topshop jewellery. This is one of my favourite posts here. Heres to a lot more pretty jewellery in 2016.
I also had an amazing opportunity to go to an all expenses paid trip to Edinburgh with some North East bloggers. I knew most of these before I went but we had such a good time and did so much in just 3 days. I’d love to do it again. Click here for all the posts.
I’ve had an amazing year with blogging! I’ve worked with so many amazing brands that I never thought of working with, and ive enjoyed every minute of making my blog that little bit better. Here’s to another year filled with lots of beauty, fashion and hopefully more lifestyle.
Looking at last years post (here), I’ve actually managed to do most of my goals, I got a first in my second year university and kept up my main self goal in not dwelling on things and to not be as paranoid and anxious. I hope to keep up all of this in 2016 and who knows what this year will bring, it will be an exciting but extremely hard working year and hopefully graduate with a 1st! Fingers crossed.
I'm doing a survey for my dissertation on beauty bloggers, reader would you take a minute of your time and fill this in for me, I really appreciate it. Click here.
