On Monday I had the pleasure to pop along to Lush Middlesbrough’s Happy Hour Event. Did you know that Lush host parties? Us North East bloggers were invited to see what it was all about plus a peak at the Easter 2016 range.
I arrived a little early to have a look at the Mothers Day collection and of course make a purchase! They give us all an apron each and went through what Happy Hour was about. They tailored this night for us bloggers but the night is totally customizable. This party is perfect for birthdays, hen do’s, baby showers or a pamper!
So at this Happy Hour party, you have a group of 4-10 people at just £15 per guest. You always have £5 towards a product so really your only spending £10 on an hour of fun and games.
So this is like a private shopping experience outside of shop hours where your fantasy world of lush comes to life. You can pick what games you’d like to play with a theme or you and your guests can relax and get pampered. Entirely up to you. Think of it as a VIP experience where you see product launches, get hands on with your favourite products and even make your own.
So in our party we did a couple of games and made our own bubble bar. First we were blind folded and given a lipstick each and had to apply it, yeah you can imagine our applications were perfect.. not haha! Then we all had to use a scarf and wrap two products up like a knot wrap, definitely harder than it looks. Lush also do competitions as well as a goodie bag, so great value for money. Win win.
If you’re a fan of lush and fancy a get together, this event is perfect for you and your gal pals. I’m definitely tempted to do one for my birthday. The staff are lovely and I felt really comfortable with the North East bloggers.
My favourite part was definitely making our own bubble bar, it was very hands on but interesting to see how they’re made. Just ask in your local Lush shop for more information on these fabulous parties.
AND now onto the eagerly anticipated Easter 2016 collection…
Like just look at all of this. How cute does it look? I actually cannot wait to get my hands on it all. From first glance you can see there’s some familiar faces here as well as a couple of new products. I am beyond excited that they have brought Ultra Violet back. I must have went through about 10 of these bubble bars last year.
So first up we have the Humty Dumpty Egg. I couldn’t believe how cute this was, its a really large bath bomb so you’ll get at least 3 baths from this, which kind of makes up for the nearly £7 price tag. When you crack it, there’s a fried egg inside. This has the same scents as Honey Bee bath bomb, Raining men shower gel and Shoot for the stars bath bomb (Christmas).
Now I’ve never tried a shower jelly from Lush before but I’m really tempted to try this. Again, another cute product but this can be reused. Bouncy Bunny (£3.95) is new for 2016 with a gorgeous tropical scent. You can wash your hair with this – its a cross between soap and shower gel, interesting!
Golden Egg (£3.95) bath bomb melt is a returning product this year. Filled with glitter and nourishing oils its a slow melting bomb that dazzles in the bath!
Bunch of carrots is a returning product this year with a twist. I picked these up last year and they have a gorgeous tropical scent to them. Lush have spiced it up this year with new colours. They showed us the pink one and you can easily get a couple of baths from each carrot, which is good for £6.25.
Last year Ultra Violet (£4.95) came in for Mother’s Day so I’ve been waiting for the product to come back. Its a bubble bar that just smells exactly like palma Violets. I always get at least 3 baths from this large bar but as you can see it fits in well with the Easter range this year. They definitely need to make it an all year product.
Just when you thought you wouldn’t smell snow fairy again till Christmas, they have brought Fluffy egg back! Apparently this is one of the longest running Easter products and it looks and smells a dream. For only £2.95 its the perfect size.
And finally Which came first? (£6.95) I bought this bath bomb last year and I loved the idea of a bath bomb inside shaped as a chick. Last year they did this and another version that had a bunny inside. This large bath bomb again like Humpty Dumpty gets at least 3 baths if you wanted. It smells of orange and vanilla – yum.
Thanks Lush Middlesbrough for a great night! I loved being hands on with all the products and seeing the Easter range exclusively. It was great to catch up with some of my fave North East bloggers too.
If your a fan of Lush you definitely need to try out one of their parties.
