If there was ever an award for the prettiest palette, this would hands down win it. I’ve taken my Urban Decay collection to another level and treat myself to their iconic Naked 3 eyeshadow palette.
After swooning over this palette for years, It’s finally in my possession.
I’ve loved using their Smoky palette (here) so much that I knew I needed to invest in another. I looked at numerous reviews and I just felt that Naked 3 was the one. The shades of this palette I feel will come to great use… Especially for the warmer months.
For Easter, I dug my money out and bought this to sample over the weekend antics. With the stunning array of pinks, rose golds and dramatic nudes – it flattered my outfit and give the perfect golden goddess look.
So I asked all you lovely lot on twitter what you’d like to see next on the blog and after a close call between Benefit ‘Cheekathon’ and this, you all jumped at the chance on what I think of this palette so far.
Even though I’ve only used this twice, I have great expectations of this beauty and I’m looking forward to creating some glamorous looks with this.
Don’t worry, ‘Cheekathon’ is coming soon – keep your eyes pealed.
Naked 3 features 12 new shades only available in this palette, with smooth mattes, shimmering pearls and gleaming metallic. Like all Urban Decay’s shadows, each shade has the beautiful blend of velvet texture, rich pigment and serious staying powder.
Unlike my Smoky palette, this one also comes with four eyeshadow primer samples. There’s enough for a couple of uses with each sample and so I’m excited to see how these make the shadows last and look more pigmented.
“Choose from light, shimmering pinks, to deep glittering black shades. Or get creative and combine for the ultimate neutral smoky eye”.
Strange – A pale neutral pink matte-satin. A very light peach matte that’s never been seen in collection before. This will be the perfect highbrow and inner eye highlight.
Dust – Pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter. This one is a little hard to handle, it’s very gritty and doesn’t set too well – such a pretty shade though.
Burnout – Light pinky-peach satin.A very versatile shade I’ll be getting much use out of.
Limit – Light dusty rose matte. Such a gorgeous buttery texture, this will the perfect crease shade.
Buzz – Metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter. This one is a lot better to handle than Dust, it creates a stunning foiled effect.
Trick – Light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle. This has got to be my fave shade from the palette, such a stunning rust gold that screams golden goddess.
Nooner – Medium pinky-brown matte. I love this colour, such a light lavender that’s perfect for the every day look.
Liar – Medium metallic mauve shimmer. This again also looks quite foiled but it’s a lovely array of golden pink.
Factory – Pinky-brown satin. A rich brown with only a slight gleam of shimmer, a fab under eye smudge.
Mugshot – Metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift. This has a great mix of silver tones.
Darkside – Deep taupe-mauve satin. A purple brown with a hint of shimmer that makes such a subtle smokey eye.
Blackheart – Smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle. Now this is absolutely beautiful in person, a dark shade with a burst of golden sparkles – its a must with a smokey eye.
So far, I’m extremely happy with my decision to buy this beautifully packaged palette. There’s not one shade I can’t see myself using. The ones I think I’ll use the most will be Trick, Burnout, Nooner and Blackheart but as its early days, it bound to change.
