OOTD | Occassion Season

Yep, its upon us already! Occassion season, the time of the year where we need outfits for the warmer weather and social gatherings.

Well today I’ve teamed up with JOY to showcase an OOTD that’s perfect for all your upcoming occassions. Plus given the opportunity, I thought I’d show you all my new addition to the family: my Kitten.

A couple of weeks back, JOY got in touch with me and asked if I’d like to try a piece from their collection. With a range of brands and outfits of course I had to go for a dress. When I see this Louche Eyote Round Neck Lace Dress* I just thought not only is the colour beautiful but the floral lace pattern is right up my street.

I love a good lace dress, their flattering and comfortable and this dress certainly fits under this too. I had no idea on the size range but I went for a size above just to safe and well it kind of is a bit too baggy. I felt like I could do with a size below what I usually am to be so bear this in mind when shopping.

Due to it being too big I can’t comment on fit but I can see it being a comfortable dress to be in all day and there seems room at the front so when you’ve had a meal the A line fit will still keep you looking flawless.

Here he is! The new addition to the family, Oliver. My social media has been going wild over this little guy and so many are asking for more photos so to showcase him on my actual blog I couldn’t have thought of a better opportunity. Oliver and my other cat Mr Darcy (yeah my mum loves Colin Firth) make the colour of this dress stand out – especially with their deep blue eyes.

Like his older brother, I can see him being a right poser already… Just look at my Instagram.

Anyways back to the outfit, so the dress has a white cotton underlay so it will keep you cool in the hot weather, when I took these photos it was a really warm day and I felt fine just wearing this.

I’m a bit gutted the Louche Eyote Round Neck Lace Dress* wasn’t the perfect fit but needless to say I would definitely wear it for a wedding or the races.

The high neckline and V-neck back makes it look elegant and I’ve teamed it up with a pale blue stiletto from Primark so the finish touches to this needs to be a fascinator and a cream clutch bag I think.

Thank you Joy for letting me showcase an Ocassion Season post! I love writing these and I think for £59 this dress is elegant enough for any occassion but I think you can dress it down for more a casual outing.
