This time next week, I’ll be in Ibiza! So today I thought I’d share What Beauty I’ll be taking with me or what essentials I think are needed in your holiday bag.
Now I know what your thinking, wow that’s a lot of makeup! Honestly I’m probably not taking all this with me, this is more like I said what I think you need (essentials) or what products I’d recommend to take.
But truthfully how hard is it to pack up all your beauty, haircare and skincare into one bag?! If your like me you have tones of makeup, you can imagine how hard it is to pick what to leave behind and what to take. After doing this post I feel more relaxed about what to take but it’s always that worry you get there and you forget a vital thing. Anyways, I’m so excited to go away now, I’ve been waiting since March when I booked it and I think I’ve gone wild and couldn’t stop buying oops.
So sit back, have a cuppa and read all about these products below. Of course the main essentials like sun protection, haircare aren’t feature here just because I wanted to do more beauty!
So it’s all about the Base!
For primer I feel like Porefessional is my go-to if I know my makeup needs staying put all day. In the heat and makeup that I want to last all night this is my safe bet. It sets the dewiest of foundations such as my Naked Skin foundation. This beauty hides all my blemishes and teamed with their All Nighter setting spray its a win win for stay proof makeup. For day time I always opt for a BB cream or if I can just a bit of powder. I picked up Garniers Pure Active Cream that acts as a tinted moisturiser with SPF and its waterproof too so perfect for round the pool and beach. For concealer I have to take my Radiant Creamy Concealer for under my eyes and maybe any sunburn. I’m so prone to burn my nose so least this can cover it up without it cracking.
You have to look radiant and glowing on holiday don’t you?
So I’ve picked a couple of powders, liquids and creams that would suit anyone. For powder, for a sheer luminous shade then Mary Lou Manizer (link) is your best bet. If you want more of the golden bronze than Bar of Gold (link) is perfect and looks lovely in the sun. For a quick golden creamy glow, I use Watts Up as a finish on the cheeks and brow bone. Touche Eclat acts more of a concealer for me but teamed with a powder, it creates the best highlighter but it does look really good on its own especially with a cream bronzer for the contour look. Another two liquid highlighters that go well with foundation is the Skin Wow highlighter and Orgasm Illuminator. For a golden peach blush then Orgasm looks perfect over a dewy foundation but the skin wow also acts as a primer and mixed with foundation it gives that subtle look.
Lipsticks is one of my key things to make an outfit!
The shade is important so on holiday I like to take a mixture of bright pinks and more subtle nudes for day wear. I like to take mattes with me so they last longer so the NYX Lip Cream in Ibiza has to make an appearance this holiday. That with my Kylie Lip Kit in Posie K (link) will be the perfect shades to wear day and night. For a cute light peach shade, Mac’s Retro Matte lip is perfect. Then for nightime I’d definitely go for my YSL Shine (link) lipstick its the perfect deep red fuchsia or Mac’s Girl About Town for a more pink tone. To keep my lips nourished I’m taking Lancome’s new Juicy Shaker (link), it looks great on its own or over lipstick as well as Lush‘s lip balm.
Blushes and bronzes are the dream team!
Whether your matte or shiny, I’m taking a mixture of these with me but two products I’m excited to take is the Hoola collection by Benefit. The Zero Tanlines (link) all over bronzer, I’m going to wear on a night especially on my legs and then it just washes off. That way I can look more bronzed on a night but still build a tan – win win. The Dew The Hoola is a liquid bronzer and after asking some bloggers how it was I luckily received a free sample so I’m excited to try this on holiday. For blush I’m taking Nars Orgasm for a bright look with sparkle and the Coralista for more of a peachy shade with less shimmer. Then for bronzer I’m taking Mac’s culted Soft & Gentle for a shimmer look and then a matte shade in Golden Rise for contouring.
Shimmery shadows and brows are needed on holiday!
I’m excited to play about with more vibrant eye looks on holiday so I’ve decided to take the Urban Decay Shadow Box! This features bright pinks, blues and teamed with my Naked 3 (link) this should give me plenty of eye looks. I’ll probably stick to rose gold eyes so Naked 3 is my best bet and the UD Heavy Metals liner creates such a shimmery look. I dab it with my brush to create speckles of glitter I’ve mentioned this in a post here. The Eyes To Mesmerize also creates a lovely shimmer look with a creamy gold – this also works so well with Naked 3 shades. For brows I’m taking my little L’Oreal Brow Artist Kit that features a cream and powder and with Gimme Brow it keeps my brows in place all night. Finally for eyes, I’m wearing semi permanent lashes so I don’t really need mascara so I’m jsut taking my YSL Waterproof for my lower lashes. For liner I’m going to use up my new Lancome Grandiose Liner (link) as it’s the only one that seems to sit well over creamy eyeshadows – others just smudge so easily.
Aside from the obvious like makeup wipes, I’m also taking a cream cleanser, a thermal mist and corrector cream. The Ponds Cleansing Cream takes your makeup off to delicately and with sunburn or the excessive heat this will be perfect on my sensitive skin. The Effaclar Duo+ I use and leave on over night to prevent me getting spots, this is the only product that helps me get rid of them quickly! I’ll also be using the Dr Organic Coconut Oil Night Cream to keep my skin feeling nourished especially with all the amazing organic properties. Finally another new product is the Avene Thermal Spring Water. This is totally new to me, never used a product like it so I’m intrigued to see how it works on holiday. This is meant to help with sunburn, after shaving or even just in the heat. Thanks to Tamzin for recommending me this on her post.
Ah and there you have it! A long post today but I wanted to just show you all what I’ll be using in Ibiza and if anyone of you are going away soon, I hope this give you some tips or recommendations. I’m so excited to go away now and I’ve even got 4 guest bloggers while I’m away so make sure you check those out. Also if you have any recommendations on what to pick up in duty free send them my way!
Have you tried any of these? Can you see a favourite of yours?
