So since Christmas Lush have treated us to their Valentines, Mothers Day and now their Easter collection. The golden eggs and spring scents hit the shops yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. So here’s the low down on the products and thoughts on my Mothers Day picks.
This time of year is great in terms of bath bombs, bubble bars and shower gels. Like I say we have three different collections in the space of three months, Lush you do treat us well! But I’ve got to say Easter is my favourite out them all followed by Christmas. I guess its the more bright colours, the wacky designs and the fragrances are just amazing and smell edible.
So grab a cuppa, I’ll start with the Easter collection first.
A couple of old and new faces this time I think. Two products coming back to the shelf is the Which came first? bath bomb. Now last year (see last years collection here) they did this in two designs one blue and one yellow. So this time they’ve gone for a spotted design and a sunshine print which is really cute. I haven’t cracked one yet but I am hoping there’s another chick inside these for nearly £7 each. They both smell exactly the same with lemon and grapeseed scents, very refreshing!
A brand new release this year is Chick ‘N’ Mix! This sweet and zingy bath bomb pulls a part to see a hidden egg inside, so three bath bombs in one. I love the smell of this, its close to my favourite of the collection for the wacky design and the tonka smell – its kinda like cinnamon but with more of a spring kick. i love the vintage colours on this too and again its around £7 so quite pricey.
The iconic Golden Egg makes another appearance this year. This shimmering egg is filled with orange and cocoa butter and smells exactly like orange chocolate, Yum! This is a bath melt so its filled with sensual oils that’s perfect if your skin needs a little TLC, a great price too for £4.
Wash behind your ears is a brand new shower gel that smells a lot like Prince Charming with the rose oils. I used this last night and it smells amazingly fresh. It also has sunflower oils to keep your skin and hair glossy and sunny. I do love the name of this and the zesty colour of it, wash on its own or paired with a bath bomb!
That’s all I picked up in terms of Easter products but there’s a couple more items online and some online exclusives. Not gonna lie, When looking on the website this morning while writing this post I actually ordered some more bits so keep a look out for those on the blog soon!
So lets get onto the Mothers Day items! I mentioned a couple of these in my February favourites and the ones I’ve mentioned here are definitely my faves!
Baa Bar I mean come on how cute is the name and the look of this? It’s a bubble bar with a comfort blanket of lavender and rose oil. You’ll easily get the Zzz’s with this, no counting sheep! Excuse the pun but if you need something relaxing for a good nights sleep this is lovely, perfect for your mum too for a pamper for less than £4.
Another cute spring bath bomb is Ups-A-Daisy. The perfect mix of orange, rosewood and the colours will be a rainbow in your bath tub. Its a reasonable bath bomb for £3.50 and fairly sized to break up for a couple of baths.
Mum! Now I don’t know about you but this looks and smells exactly like Autumn Leaf, from 2016’s Halloween collection. I can’t really pin point the scent of this but it is lovely, you won’t want to put it down, oh and there’s a hidden surprise inside too! This is really good for £3 as well I think.
Finally, I thought this Over and Over orange bath bomb was for Mothers Day but regardless, it should be! My mum loves the smell of tangerines and this is gorgeous. It also has lime oils so if you love a zesy citrus scent, you’ll love this. It has a oil coating so its kind of a bath melt and bomb all in one – perfect!
Well there you have it! A gorgeous bunch of spring bath products I’m sure everyone is itching to grab! You can find Lush’s Easter collection in shops NOW and online. What products have you got your eyes on? Do let me know what you intend to pick up or your thoughts so far.
It’s finally Spring time!
