February Favourites

I can’t believe were 3 months into 2017 already! Today is a reflection of what I’ve enjoyed using in February and also products perfect for Spring

To say its only March, I’m super excited for Spring and today’s post is a bright one for sure. From a dreamy body cream, the perfect nude lippy and rose gold shadows. Sometimes its hard to narrow it down to only a few products in my ‘monthly favourites’ as I use so much but these six products are definitely lustworthy.

So as its March, I have to mention Lush‘s Mothers day collection. With some similar products, and a few new releases they certainly didn’t disappoint. Ups-A-Daisy has such an uplifting citrus smell I couldn’t put it down, it creates a rainbow of colours in your bath and their Mum bath bomb really reminds me of Autumn Leaf too.

Another skin care product I’ve been lovin’ is Antipodes Joyful hand and body cream*. First off I love the packaging, but the fragrance smells delicious too. The blackcurrant notes and avocado oil leave your skin feeling nourished and replenished. I’ve been using this more as a body cream and its lovely to apply when you have false tan on, to keep it looking tip-top.

I’ve also been using a new makeup remover from Lancome. Their Bi-Facil makeup remover acts as a cleanser and I’m astonished by how much it takes off in one swipe. Normally I have to use numerous wipes or a few applications to take away even the toughest of shadows but this is amazing. I mean its pretty expensive at Β£26 but it’s definitely up there with the best I’ve tried. I just love of soft and clean my skin feels after too, it leaves a lovely sheen on the face and its perfect for all skin types too.

Speaking of shadows, I’ve featured two in here from Bare Minerals and Lancome. I’m really into rose gold eye looks lately and I picked up this little Bare Minerals loose power shadow a few months ago from TkMaxx. Now its turning into spring I’m wearing more brighter colours and this pairs lovely with a smokey eye, its got tones of mink with golden shimmer, with no fall out either.

Another handy little palette I’ve been using a lot is Lancome’s Hypnose Doll palette in ‘Bastille’. The shadow at the front (swatched below) is such a pretty glitter which I kinda wish Lancome did in a highlighter, now that would be pretty. I use this in the inner corners and the other shades create an effortless smokey eye again. These two products work really well together along with Naked 3.

Finally you can’t go wrong with a nude lipstick! I’m all about wearing these throughout the year but I’ve really loved using Charlotte Tilbury‘s Miss Kensington for day-to-day wear. This was a limited edition lipstick but I’m sure she does similar shades. As you can see in the swatch its got a stunning peach tone to it, which again makes me excited to wear more peaches and pinks for spring/summer.

How gorgeous do these three swatches look though?! So that’s my February favourites done and dusted. I’m so glad its March, we’re starting to see the light nights appearing and I just love the transition into Spring and a refresh in my makeup looks. What are you looking forward to? Definitely Easter and the warmer weather for me.

  1. I’ve used that Bi Facil cleanser before in a set I got, but it’s too expensive for me to buy again haha that lipstick looks gorgeous as well.

I can’t wait for the lighter nights as it would help my photography out loads if I need to do some after work

  2. Eeek I love this post! The bareMinerals shadow looks so beaut, I love it sooo much. I’m also a major lover of hand cream and the antipodes one sounds perfect! It’s been way too long since I’ve had a lush bath- I really ought to get my hands on some of the Mothers Day bath bombs before it’s too late πŸ™‚
