April Favourites

April FavouritesApril FavouritesWe’re nearly half way through the year already, what? It’s flying by and April went in a blur. The month seen me visit my favourite city, Easter time and of course trying new beauty buys.

I did buy a lot this month, I know nothing changed there has it. My purchases included lots of Easter products which of course means Lush. I would have featured them in my April faves but they were sooo good their all gone. The eggs where so much better than chocolate. Well maybe.

Anyway todays post is a mixture of skincare I’ve loved trying out, my go-to fragrance and some new lippies I’m currently trying out.

My Scheming Charcoal Peel Off Mask* – Now these are everywhere at the moment, videos of black face masks that clear your skin from blackheads. Well this does just that! The kit (here) comes with a Deep pore softener, Blackhead Carbon Masks and a Clarifying Pore treatment. After the first application I was amazed with the difference, the masks gently peels off and you can actually see the removal of blackheads, quite satisfying. My skin went a little red but the next day it was noticeably softer and my skin seemed smoother and better complexion for applying makeup. You get about 10 applications from this!

Skintifique Cleanser P* – Another skincare product I’ve been loving (here). I’m such a fan of Micellar water, this cleanses and removes make-up so easily. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated, ready for a face mask or a dewy moisturiser. I love the fact this is cruelty free and 100% pure, quite rare for a skincare brand!

Paco Rabanne Olympea Aqua – A perfume you need to try this summer (here). Last year I got introduced to Olympea and I loved it, so I decided to get the Aqua version. In the frosted glass not only is the design beautiful, it smells amazing too. It’s got more of a spicy tone to the original but overall it’s a sweet scent that’s long-lasting but not too overpowering. It’s something I can spritz on a morning and still catch the scent hours later, with lots of citrus’y tones, it’s very refreshing!

Nails Inc Polish ‘Porchester Square’ – I got this polish in April’s Roccabox (here). At first I wasn’t too sure on the colour but its been something I’ve worn at worked and its such a subtle colour that it compliments most outfits. I also pairs really nice with a tan, it’s yet to chip which is good for a nail polish.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Oil – I’d been debating for a while to purchase this lip oil (here) after seeing mixed reviews but I’m so glad I picked it up. I got the shade ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ mainly because my cars colour was named that and the shade seemed really wearable. It’s a nude peach so looks lovely on its own as a lip gloss / lip balm but also pairs on top of cream lipsticks such as my fave Velvet Teddy. I think I’m going to do a full review of this on the blog soon so let me know if you would like to know more!

Joan Collins Divine Lips* – Finally a beautiful lipstick for the summer (here). It’s creamy, so easy to apply and lasts. I received the shade ‘Suzy Starr’ which is a bright coral with fuchsia tones. It’s certainly a colour that will make any outfit pop. I mean the packaging is stunning too. I’ll be featured a full review of Joan Collins beauty soon so keep a look out.

So that’s my April favourites, another month done and dusted. I’m looking forward to May, I’m jetting off to Dublin for a few days with the girls so I’ll definitely be blogging about my visit.

Have you tried any of these? What have you got your eye on this month?

  5. I really need to grab one of those lip oils but am never sure whether a new brand is going to be better than the clarins one or if I should just repurchase that. I suppose I shall have to take the plunge and buy both …that’s blogger logic isn’t it! xoxo
