January Favourites

Anyone else glad January‘s over? It’s been a long month but it’s also been a great time to enjoy lots of new products I picked up in the sales so let’s see what I’m currently loving…

January Favourites

January has truthfully not been a good month for me, I’ve had a lot of stuff going on, I was struck down with that awful Aussie flu and just overall its been a bit meh…

But, February already has been so much more positive! On the 1st I was honoured to win a staff award at my works celebration event for professional growth and development… It was so lovely to win and hear all the amazing compliments from everyone, its nice to have some appreciation that I’m doing well!

Anyway so today’s post is a mix of products I received for Christmas, what bargains I picked up in the sales and also a couple of exciting PR packages….

January Favourites

Jouer Lip Topper Rose Gold

You may have noticed this in my sales post here. This glitter lip gloss is beautiful, it smells like chocolate and I’ve loved wearing it as a top coat above lipsticks such as Velvet teddy and a bright red. I’ve been debating to see if this would work as a creamy eyeshadow because the glitter in this is stunning – I need to try it out!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Mask*

Most of you guys know how much I love the Effaclar Duo+ for targeting spots and blemishes. Well, before Christmas I was kindly gifted the full collection and this included the Unclogging Purifying Mask. This is perfect for spot-prone / oily skin! It’s a clay mask that’s more of a creamy texture that you leave on for about 10mins then wash off. This unclogs pores, cleans any left over makeup, dirt and oil – leaving your skin with a fresh mattified feel.

Lush Twilight Shower Gel

I picked this up in Lush’s 50% off sale and I’m obsessed. I haven’t got much of this left because it smells so good! The calming lavender scent makes this a perfect bath time essential before bed. When I need a good nights sleep, this is my go-to product.

Marc Jacobs Highliner*

I was lucky enough to receive this from Influenster and for the past few weeks I’ve loved trying it out. The shade Earthquake is the perfect matte brown and suits my golden eye looks lately. The formula of this is so different to other crayons I’ve tried. It applies like a gel consistency but dries instantly like a matte pencil. This doesn’t budge all day, like even with makeup remover its stubborn. Well worth trying if fancy a splurge..

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips

Okay so I’m obsessed with Secret Salma. I got this as part of the look in a clutch gift set (review here) and I can’t stop wearing it. It’s the perfect mauve pink and I have to say it’s slowly replacing my other nude pink lipsticks. I would recommend anyone to try a CT lipstick, its one of the best formulas I’ve tried.

Sexy Hair Bright Blonde Shampoo*

Wonder what shampoo I use? For the last 2-3 months I’ve been using this violet shampoo to brighten my balyage hair. The texture of this is exactly like a toner but is more safe to use when showering. I always leave this on for a good 5 minutes and with the honey oil, this leaves my hair soft and shiny! If you have highlighter hair, this is a great product to use in between salon visits. I recommend using this once a week.

Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon

As the name suggests, this fragrance is super sweet! With fruity top notes of mandarin as well as black currant, if you love fruity scents – you need to try this. A fruity fragrance is definitely my go-to and I can see already this will be one I’ll be using now and even in summer. It’s one of those unique scents that people will want to know what you’re wearing!

So that’s my January Favourites! Like I said earlier, I hope February is a better month and we’re that one step closer to lighter nights and warmer weather – I know wishful thinking. I’ll also have a Valentine’s Gift guide on the blog later this week so keep a look out for it!
