My first beauty post of 2019! I was lucky enough to receive some gorgeous beauty sets from Christmas and I also treated myself to some in the sales, why not right? So I thought I’d share with you what luxury items I picked up.
I’ll start by what I got for Christmas. First up is this personalised Glow Tonic by Pixi Beauty. I’ve been very lucky to work for this company in the last year. You can read my latest skincare review here. Glow Tonic was the first ever product I tried from the brand, because well, its a cult favourite really. Everyone loves it and I can totally see why. I just finished my current makeup remover, so this was a lovely gift to arrive the day before Christmas.
My first present off mum and dad was the Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold palette. My readers know how much I love the original bar of gold palette (review here). So to get the three gilding highlighters, I was over the moon. I was tempted to buy this myself when it got released, but couldn’t justify it when I still had lots of my existing highlighter left. The palette comes with the original bar of gold on the left then a rose gold shade and a bronze gold.
My boyfriend also treated me to some Too Faced makeup. This cute Under the Christmas Tree gift set comes with a cheek set, two eyeshadow palettes and a better than sex mascara. There’s nothing not to like here, the design is shaped as a Christmas tree with a suede material. The cheek palette comes with a highlighter, blush and bronzer. All three shades are wearable. The two palettes also come with some gorgeous shades, which are all exclusive too. It’s such a steal for the price!
Now onto items I picked up in the sales! I bought two sets from Benefit cosmetics. The first set was the Triple Decker Decadence set filled with a full sized Porefessional, Bad Gal Bang and High Brow. Three items I love and a mini Gogo tint. It was reduced to something like £23! The Porefessional is around that alone, which is such a great deal.
I also picked up the Get the Pretty Started set for only £11. This contains a travel-size Hoola, Galifornia and Watts Up. Again three products I already own and this handy little palette is perfect for travelling. You could say I’ve got a good years worth of Benefit here for only £34.
And finally I also picked up the Spectrum Clam brushes set for only £15 in Boots. Not like I need any more makeup brushes but they were a steal for that price. This brand along with Real techniques are my favourite for brushes so its always worth having some stocked up ready.
Did you get any bargains in the xmas sales?
