New Beauty Purchases

I did some shopping (nothing new there) and picked up these beauty‘s! After asking on Twitter what you would like to see next, you guys voted to see what I picked up and my thoughts so here goes…

Starting off with the newbies, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Barry M Matte Me Up Metallic Lip Kits. I’ve been eyeing up these on Instagram for a while so when I finally seen them in Boots I had to pick two up! Allure is a rose pink sparkle whereas Prestige is a burnt red / copper as you can see in the swatches below. If your thinking of trying these, check out my review of the original kits here. For the price, these are amazing and I love the metallic effect, their not as drying as other liquid lipsticks and are super long-lasting!

Other bits I picked up in Boots included Collection’s Instant Brow Pomade. Now you all know I LOVE Freedom’s dipbrow (here) but this was on offer for £2.99 so for the price I couldn’t resist. I wasn’t expecting the size of the pot, its tiny after you take it out the packaging! I bought the shade Blonde as it looks dark on the front of the packet but I think its slightly too light for me. It also has a shimmery tone to it which is wierd for a brow product, I haven’t tried it yet but I’m hoping it could be another alternative to Anastasia Beverly Hill’s cult dipbrow.

I loved trying Maybelline’s Eraser Eye Concealer and noticed they brought out a couple of new shades, so I thought I would try the Neutralizer for colour correction. I’ve been using this on red blemishes and spots and noticed the difference! Its more than a concealer it actually does neutralises your redness – perfect if you have blemishes. It’s a creamy formula and love the sponge application. It was buy one, get 2nd half price in Boots so I decided to try out a liquid eyeliner. I purchased the Master Ink in the finish matte and after testing it out twice, I’m impressed. It’s only about £6 but its an easy application, dries quickly and doesn’t crack like others – just as good as high-end if you ask me!

Speaking of high-end, did you notice Benefit are having a summer sale? It’s still on now but I managed to pick up two Hoola Zero Tanlines for half price and the They’re Real Push-up Liner for £10. Bargain right? I love their body bronzer its the perfect instant tan if you need an extra glow. I reviewed this last year here. I’ve taken it away with me to maximise my tan and if say your fake tan is fading this is the perfect touch up, it smells lovely and just washes off with soapy water! I know what your thinking two eye liners in a post? Well this push up liner is a gel formula, it always got a mixture of reviews but personally I liked this. My last one ran out a while ago but when I seen it for just £10 it was a bargain not to miss. I’ve reviewed this on the blog before, sometimes it does has the tendency to crack after a few hours but other than that it apply fab over glitter eyeshadow and that can be a pain for liner!

So that’s my Latest Beauty Purchases! As you can see I’ve delved straight in trying this products and overall I’m happy with them! If you fancy a new lipstick I would definitely say Barry M is worth trying and the body bronzer if your going on holiday or want to maintain your natural tan – this compliments it perfect.

Have you tried any of these? Would you?

I didn’t know that Barry M came out with metallic matte me up liquid lipsticks!! So need to give those a swatch soon! I’m finding a lot of my concealers are a little too drying under my eyes lately so think I need to repurchase the maybelline eye eraser concealer because I loved the formula! xx

I remember buying the real push up liner ages ago and I don’t remember why I didn’t repurchase because it really helped when I did a wing liner. Going to have to repurchase! I hear so much about the maybelline eye eraser Concealer, which they did more shades so I could try it!! Great post Hun

My friend was on about the Barry M lip products to me the other week but I hadn’t ever heard of them! I have the collection brow pomade and I just adore it! You don’t notice the slight shimmer once its in your brows! I’ve tried the Maybelline Master Precise (it’s a pen felt tip) and I knew it was good so I’m not surprised that the version you bought is good! xx
