Is your skin looking dull from the party season and needs some tlc? Here’s my winter skincare saviours for that new year, new skin feeling!
I don’t know about you but with this cold weather, party season and being struck down by that Aussie flu – I’ve noticed a difference in my skin. It’s drier than usual and it definitely needs some hydration. So after a request by some of my readers, you guys wanted to see what products I reach for at this time of year. So let’s get started…
Botanics Cleansing Foam Wash*
I love a good cleanser and this one just melts away your makeup and foams when you add water for that extra cleanse. This also leaves your skin feeling super soft and with this being from their All Bright collection, it leaves a little glow to the face too.
Monu Skin Hydrating Mask
This is one of my favourite masks ever. If your skin feels dry I swear by this! The hydrating mask is perfect for combination or oily skin too and the primrose oil makes this smell amazing. I put this on just before bed and even though they say to wash off after 15 minutes, I leave this on overnight for extra moisture. You wake up with soft, plump skin – showing results instantly.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
If I’m having a breakout and need a gentle face scrub, I love this. It’s a powder but if you add water, or in my case I use some miceller water it turns into a paste. You apply this onto the skin which could act as a mask but I gently rub this into my skin in circular motions and then just remove with warm water. I think because this is powder, it seems to dry the spots up too.
Bioderma Purifying Micelle Solution*
This smells incredible! Miceller water doesn’t normally smell of much but I love the fresh scent it leaves on my skin. I’ve used this as my go-to makeup remover lately and it removes even the stubborn of makeup such as glitter and waterproof mascara with just one application!
Lush Once upon a time Body Lotion
Another beautiful smelling product. I picked this up in the Lush sale and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. The citrus scent makes this so invigorating as well as leaving your skin feeling super soft. I use this as a moisturiser and your left with a long-lasting fragrance.
Ormorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask
I haven’t got much of this left but you know them masks where it dries and shows all your pores? This is one of them. This product soaks into your pores to help release blackheads, oil and dirt. It has a slight tingle sensation due to I think peppermint so your skin instantly feels fresh and soothes any redness too.
As well as using these skincare products, I can’t not mention the Makeup Eraser* cloth (review). This actually does remove a lot of your makeup – with no products whatsoever. You don’t feel 100% clean but if you don’t have any wipes handy, this is a great alternative.
For facial scrubs I also use the Foreo Luna Play – this facial cleansing device is perfect to give your skin a total cleanse. The bristles help to exfoliate and unclog pores and lift away dirt, oil and dead skin. This with a cleansing mask really does help give your skin a clear and healthier looking complexion.
So there you have it, my winter skincare saviours! I can’t believe how many people I know who’ve been struck down with that Aussie flu, it’s definitely took it out of me, that’s why I haven’t been posting as much as usual. Now I’m over it, expect lots more content and a new layout coming soon..
I hope you’ve found some new skincare discoveries or an excuse to have a pamper night. Do let me know your go-to products in the comments, I love recommendations!
